I think you're missing the point with the 24/7 1map server ideas. Alex (might be) doing this to bring the clan together. If we have a 24/7 dust2 server, how is that any different from ftc2 right now (granted it's a different map)? Instead of office freaks, we'll now have dust2 freaks and the clan will only become even more segregated. The original map rotation idea is perfect in it's simplicity. This way, we won't get one group of people that will own everyone who isn't a regular on that server. Remember, we're doing this for the entire clan, not just for people who'll want to play dust when they get tired of surf or office. Besides, if it does become a rotation server, Dust2 will be on there anyway, you'll just have to vote for it at the map change is all. | ||

i voted yes cause it says head under my avatar ;D and head is good. so new ftc2 is good ;D, and i don't play other servers.. so a rotational map is just what i need to get some time on other maps without feeling the guilt of not being 100% commited to the community. which i am. ...idt anyones ever seen me playing on a non ft server ever ;D, cause Ft is the only servers i'll play until we die..which i hope is never!!!! | ||

Well as an admin on FTC2, i do agree with the change to the FTC2 server. I think it would make a huge difference in the amount of players we get on the server. At time i notice the FTC2 is dead quite because there already is an 24/7 office server, like someone already said, no one would want to leave their game and go to the other 24/7 office server. Also another thing on FTC2 there arent many regulars not enough to atleast help out as an admin. Any regulars are already part of DAWG and some are FT members, and most are admins. But like i was saying we dont have enough playing regularly as joker and I were talking about couple days back. As most of you know i havent been on for over a month, but i am back now. I think changing this FTC2 into a public rotation server would help out bringing new players to the servers and create more regulars. Also it would be a great help to the FT community. I think this server can help bring more FT'er together, instead of one group of FT members in FTC1 and the other in FTC2. Another thing is when it comes down to matches i think we would all have a lot more practice in other server and create out more stratagies in other maps. Like lets face it we ALL know the office map like the back of our hands, i think something new would change that. Lets get everyone playing different maps and getting better at them. So i agree with changing this FTC2 into a rotation server. |

I'm backing the rotation server because I am honestly curious on how this is all going to turn out. Either way I still get to play on a great server. So it's pretty much a win/win situation from my perspective. If we don't change, then FTC2 stays the same old office goodness. If we do change, then the possibilities are endless. Even if it flops after the first couple of weeks it can always go back to 24/7 office again, right? What do we have to lose? |

Mugen and Joker are both in favor of this, and that makes all the difference to me. Wolf, I don't know you very well but both Mugen and Joker appear to think highly of you and your support for FTC2, whatever happens to it, is much appreciated. It looks like support for the change is overwhelming but I want to take some time to think about it. I'll try to post later this week. I'd still like to hear more opinions either way. Nothing is final yet. |

Well to 4 Angry Toasters, I never thought of it that way. Before Office, all I played was Dust 2 and then I found FT, and now Office is all I play. So yeah, I guess your right, your never going to love a level unless you keep trying at it. Some custom maps would be a good idea. The awp maps are a personal favorite for me also, Ive been playing in them for a while. I can give you a few maps that I have enjoyed playing on so others can get a feel for it. THere are a couple of other maps besides the awp levels that Ive known to play on. Perhaps, if a rotation server doesnt work, then we could try running a zombie mod, although I dont think anyone but probably Wu would agree on that. The possibilities are really endless of what we could do, but for now, Im just giving you all a few brainstorms, as a regular. Just let me know what you think. |

Well everything seems to be going good, and seems as if everyone agrees with this change. I think this thread has brought a lot of members into this conversation which is a great deal. I think having this change will get a lot of us playing together more often, it would be a great change, i think if we try this out we can see how it works out, and whoever admins that server, and get feed back and see how it runs. If its a go and turns out to be a great server as it already is. Then i guess its a win situation. For the map decision i think that should be handled in a different thread not this one, i think this thread is for the agreement of change or not. The map situation can be handled at any point, after Alex's decision on to change the FTC2 into a rotation server. Well alex if you need help on anything or any decisions, as a lead admin on FTC2 i am here to help out with anything. Msg me on xfire ill be on. Peace |
