I was on the FTC server at about 3:45 GMT -5 (US East Coast) and many people were abusing the Voteban and Votekick system. I was nearly votebanned for my name: RainMan (Rap Sucks). I usually put contreversal things after my name, Only because it makes people talk, however I never thought it would go to the point were i would be nearly votebanned. the member who began the Voteban, [FT] Wu, who seemed like a really nice guy on the forums, apperntly doens't like me or is just against people hating rap music, but forever reason, wanted to voteban me for it because I didn't like rap music. After maybe a minute, i was 2 votes away from being banned. I hand't done anything wrong. A few times I accidently shot my team mates (it happens, I get jittery, and I'm twitchy but I apologize every time, no matter how small, and everyone forave me nd said it was no problem), but I really for the most didn't do anything wrong. After about 2 minutes, [FT] Wu started to swear at me and I really didn't see the cause. If anyone thinks I'm lying, here is a screenshot: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y259/GoliathII/cs_office0413.jpg About 6 minutes later, another player (whos name I unfortunately can't remember) asked if everyone would votekick anothe rplayer, only because he did not like him as a person. I have been playing on the server for almost a month now and I have seen this happen pretty often, however never from an FT member. I was just wondering if people are allowe to do this or not. It says in the MOTD that I am allowed to state my opinion. All I did was put (Rap Sucks) after my name, I didn't say anything about it, come to think of it I didn't really say anything to anyone at all, I was just testing out some new skins. I don't really know if this goes on everyday and nobody cares or wheather this thing is serious. I am just wondering what the real cause for all this was and if any action will be taken to stop this from happening. Edited Thu Jul 20 2006, 09:18PM |

oh stop being a pussy. if you aren't competitive than don't play cs. I hate when people bitch about a game like their lives are on the line. What the fuck do you think I do when someone votebans me? (serious or just playing around) I ignore it. Shit like that goes on around here A LOT. plus I say that to everyone. Go check the chatbox post history. All im saying is take it like a man and not a little bitch. I honestly dont care if you like rap or not and neither did the other guys. If everyone ran to the forums like a little girl, we'd have as many posts as mike tysons ear collection. And nice job stretching the page jackass, its called link it. Well, I think I might have a solution…. Don’t put vulgarity things on your name Like “I hate rap†that is just asking for trouble Most people would take this as a racist thing because rap music is mostly centered around African Americans and hip hop plus a whole lot of people like rap music (including I) So maybe you should STOP putting things on your name and just play the game!!!! I know you want be to have some controversial things to talk about, wile playing CS, but that’s what the forums are for “NOT†CS:S |

Here's another solution. Grow up. 18+ dosen't mean you have to be older then 18 to play, it means behave like a mature adult. How's that? I'm sick of these arguments. They are starting to multiply. P.S. If you can't handle acting like a big boi, maybe you deserve a time out. P.P.S this is not at Rain + Wu. I'm talking generally. |
