Alright, my comment about nade spam was a joke. I was poking fun at people who think that because the AWP is "a part of the game" that there will never be circumstances where it is inappropriate or used excessively. It would be possible to scale the number of available AWP's with the number of players but that would require someone to write an eventscript, or similar. I'm not aware of anything like this already, but if someone does let me know -- it's a good idea. Having more grenades sounds fun, and I did this for a while on my first server (waaaaay back in May of last year), but it really just increases the spam. Besides, I'd say team flashes and HE's are the leading cause for FF/TK's. I'm thinking the freezetime at the beginning of the round should stay at 5 seconds (valve default is 6, BTW), and buytime set to 30 seconds. Also, I'll turn mp_autokick on to try to get rid of AFK's. Anyways, it seems we've covered most of the topics for now. I'm thinking about testing the new configuration tonight, for a little while, at least. i need to think about a few more things today... |

We were talking about the AWP because that's a weapon up for restriction. Based on your question I think you're off-topic and simply looking for an argument. I'll keep preparing for testing tonight, and I'll make a post this evening if everything looks ready. |

okay 1st your testing the server tonight? can i come and help with the testing? 2nd so it will kick people on spec??? cause i dont care about AFKers i think spec is the place where room will be taking up..... |

1. Yes, it's public, after all. 2. It will kick both, I believe. It's been several months since I used it so I can't quite recall. I'm going to leave it off at first, in case people want to help out and idle just to make the player count look bigger, and if/when the server gets off the ground I'll turn mp_autokick on. |

Is there a way to customize the number of rounds for the mp_autokick? Such as...AFK for two to three rounds straight = kick? It avoids being kicked for say, going to take out the garbage. | ||

that sounds like a good idea amped. Some servers acctually have the thing where u can say "AFK 4 rounds" and you will be put into spec for exactly 4 rounds. I think it would also be a good idea if someone came up with a thing where you could say like "AFK 10 minutes" and you would go spec for 10 minutes and then after 10 minutes was up you could automatically join back in. Just a thought... |

I'll dig around for some event scripts, etc. that may let us fine-tune getting rid of AFK's. Looks like this thread is winding down, and with a new FTPR forum any further suggestions can go there. Thanks again to all of you for your time and effort.
