What about some VIP maps? I played some of those today and I loved them. I think you need a specific mod for them tho, but i'm not sure how that works out. just making a suggestion. |

Wu said it right there. Thats why if we MUST limit awps, it has to be at least 4 or 5 per team, considering that we will have 26-28 slots. | ||

5 is ALOT if the server isn't full to capacity. I would agree with 3 - 2. | ||

Well of course 5 is a lot, I still stick with my "unlimited" idea. People DO practice awping, beleive it or not. The awp is a part of the game, and I think people should be allowed to use it. "If the awping gets out of hand, an admin could fix it and restrict". |

But that's if an admin is on. And if they did then alexh and the servers head admins have to deal with constant bitching by people if an admin has to do that. Just easier to restrict it. Then it can still be used and we won't loose people because of too much sniping (i've been on servers where this happens, can be much more annoying than not having any awps). |

When it's all said and done, and people quit in droves because every map turns into an AWP battle, and you're left with 5 v 5... I'm not that interested in making sure AWP fanatics are happy. The goal is to be as appealing to as many players as possible. I tend to think the people that get frustrated with AWP's and autosnipers are generally the people that want to have a good time and crash a pub. The people that are adamant about their "right" to AWP the fuck out of noobs and laugh the entire time as the server empties to next to nothing aren't really my concern. Yeah, I'm a bit buzzed as I say this, but come on man... this isn't a CAL trainer and this isn't about making sure that e-penises are on display! I'm not saying every AWP nut is an arrogant prick, but most tend to be. No, kddude, I don't think of you this way, but you're really opening the door for these types to dominate. If there are a few AWP's out there and you can't get one then that's fine, find something else to do. Ugh, I don't want this to come across the wrong way, but my experience with AWP/auto fanatics has been that they couldn't care less about fair teams or whether the server is full or not. FTC has thrived on not doing AWP/auto's, and I'm definitely proud of that. I'm not saying this is the only way to go, which is why I'm defintely willing to allow a certain amount of them in, but this rotation server will not be an AWP'ers paradise. Sorry if this seems harsh, but an AWP/auto'er is rarely a person that believes in fair teams -- they typically look for personal benefit and as soon as AWP's are criticized they leave. I tend not to cater to this type of behavior. |
