pretty much everyone has said the same thing so im not going to repeat it for ur sake. the basic idea like yes ff and stock maps and so on. youll deffinatly need more admins because like wu said youll have alot more "accidentle tk"  and hackors and so on. if u want me ill be honord to take the job. good luck on the new server im with u and will still be a loyal ftc2 player or fish tank international player or fish tank public player whatever u decide im there.

Fish Tank: Free Swim {FF//18+} Go with the standard maps, include office for good measure =D. Joker's good with the 2 awps per team. Hell yeah FF:On. It's queer without it. I'd rather see 12v12 so 24 slot max. With the admin situation I'd go with an idea of asking all admins over the community if they wanted to transfer to the rotation as a start. Then go see what people reg the rotation and have the higher ups offer admin as they see fit. Who knows what cool people we'll see frequent the server once it starts, you know? I'd be poor without mugging; it's my favorite thing to do. God please keep that above anything. Counter-bet has been kinda useless in my eyes. I'd rather take a few rounds to shiv people. Even if I'm not successful I've built up some good funds from not buying anything. In my early vagrancy between servers, I always laughed my ass when an admin let Arnold do some of the talking for him. So maybe a few admin sounds, just a suggestion. I already unleash Arnold onto my mic often enough without sounds but I have noticed that people respond better to audio reprimand over green speak. They are too braindead to read. Silly lackwits. Aww I got so worked up with the sounds that I forgot what I was going to say next. There we go, good brain, I remembered. May I remind the community that with this change it ain't all office anymore. We are going to have to throw down a good set of rules for the admins to enforce or you'll get a whole crap load of abuse. I'll probably end up dishing out my fair share, but hey I'm only human. Are we going to stick with the basics and tweak once we get some experience on rotation? Being one of the top10 on ftc2 I'm gonna throw my opinion in. Rank doesn't affect me at all. I wouldn't care if you even removed it from the server. Everyone has hot days and cold days. If you play there enough you know who's good and who lives too close to a radio tower. Reset 'em, delete 'em, keep 'em, who cares. I can only imagine how much is going into making this server right. Frankly it makes me thirsty. Fire this sucker up and let it evolve from there. My 2cents. |

Fish Tank Pub sounds good. And i do agree with what Wu's getting at about the whole 18+ plus. It does attract alot of asshats in my opinion. As for maping i do agree with all the standard maps, like the ones that were in the Scrim/Prac server. As for admins, i will be taking mine over to the new FT server, and help out alex there to get this going, and make it happen. Other then that whoever you trust for admins alex i will agree with you on it, and i can help you out with that if needed. For the weapons i think its best we have 1 Awp per team and no Auto's. When it comes down to scrims or matches, its usually 1 awp per team, i think that will be a good start. We can all get a practice with that, and try out strategies during practices, and finding the right sniper guy. So i think 1 Awp per team is good, and no Autos. And a 24 slot sounds good as wolf said, i think it the perfect amount of players on standard maps, and customs. Also FF on for sure, makes it more real. Also being one of the top10 in FTC2 i dont care for it to be reset, i think it would be better to have a fresh start, and try to build it up again. The mugging mod would be cool, ive always like that, and i always love hearing the "owned" sound, turns me on lol. Well thats my 2 cents on this server. I know this is going to work for sure. Peace |

I was just ringing for my friends clan, and it was certainly not 1 awp per team. I've been a ringer many times, and it's never been that way. I still stand on what I said before - Unlimited awps/autos, but an admin can and will restrict when it gets out of hand. Like you said mugen - mugen_power wrote ... i like fish tank rotation. lets keep it simple. during the summertime, alex, if your looking for admins, i can prolly be around to help out during the afternoons. if you need any stand up guys to help you out with that, im game. anywho, wewt for teh new server! this is the beginning of something real good. |

Admins: I can offer my services. But how many FTC and Surf admins will be given initial consideration and how many FTC2 admins will crossover to the Rotation server? I say start with a core of previous admins or people that have admin experience to start. This way it will avoid abuse claims and rules can be enforced promptly, without noobish fumbling. When It comes to transfering admin rights from FTC2 players, they should be leaning toward having admin on Rotation moreso than FTC. My reasoning is because there is no need to overload FTC with more admins and the Rotation will need huge policing to start. It just makes sense to get admins on a server that has 0 admins as opposed to cluttering a server that already has a bunch of admins.Plugins/Scripts: Bet, Knife-Mugging. Those are crucial. Ace-rates will be necessary so as to avoid 'rate-hackers' and people chewing up bandwidth. Perhaps consider replacing the underused !bounty script with a Bank mod. That will be a good way of managing bet profits and saving up for more costly weapons. Plus, it will keep your cash safe in case of a knifing. (I think. The mugging just takes the cash on you, the cash in the bank is safe, right?)Can't wait.

the reason why I say this is because if we have the map Assault, it is a very time consuming map becouse it spreads out so much and if you die early, it's not fun to wait it out. | ||

FTR Fish Tank Rotation |18+| sounds good (maybe stick PuB in there somewhere) As for maps here are some must haves: cs_assault cs_compound de_dust2 cs_italy cs_office extended (since we already have an office server) other regular maps Some customs I would suggest are: fy_buzzkill (freakin awesome map) fy_snow There should be a "rockthevote" option to choose the next map I think restricting it to 3 awps per team is a great idea. Anything over that just seems excessive. I also think there should be some reserved admin slots on the server, that would autokick someone if the server is full and an admin joins the game. A plugin such as mugging mod would be awesome. betting mod would be good too (I think something like rollthedice would ruin the server). Quake sounds = Kick Ass FF definatly needs to be kept on These are my opinions, but do what you feel would work the best. Edited Mon Jul 24 2006, 12:51PM |
