Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

You go off on a hell of a lot of people. Most of the time they deserve it. I respect that because everyone else, for the most part, are afraid to share their opinions. you don't hold your hands over your mouth, you say what you honestly think. I noticed you going off on Kali a few times in the past, because he can be a little annoying at times but he's still a good guy. Often times I see you in games when other admins are around, and you comment on the teams. It seems like your hinting at the other admins to adjust the teams to make them even. 70% of the time I don't even see the admins react when you say that, like they didn't pick up on your slight sarcasm or maybe they simply didn't hear you or see the text. Sometimes you have to be straight forward with certain individuals. Honestly I think it's hilarious watching you put assholes in their place, and all they can do is sit there. What surprised me on the Rotation server was when I was up in the vents, and thought I saw an opponent run by so I let a rip and happen to be mistaken, then having the nade totally own you. (75 damage!) I apologized but expected a slay. Instead you forgave. I was WAITING for you to blow your top. honestly! And by the way I had a damn good time playing on FTR, I just wish my favorites list would work so it's easier to get there.

Alex, did I not call you an evil oil company the other day? I said wrote ... alexh saidPoint taken. A proper voting sytem requires checks and balances. Without those checks and balances it all falls apart and the people with power can do as they please, while those without power have to live with those changes. If we start voting on issues that can't be changed ourself, with no means of enforcement, we might as we'll be asking the oil companies to lower the price of gas. wrote ... Hmm, I hope I'm not the equivalent of the evil oil companies in that statement above... Ohh I get it, you're one of those people who likes a little abuse. You pervert, I'm going to freeze you right where you stand, then slap you down to 50 hp. Then I'll defrost you and just when you think it's over, I'll @burn your ass! jk <3 |

I pretty much just second everything everyone else already said, because I don't have anything profound to say myself. I have only had 1 instance where we had an argument, and I was being bitchy anyway. I complained about getting swapped, saying that it sucked, and you thought I meant...well, nevermind. Haha I still have no idea what either one of us was talking about. And I THINK I fixed CS:S on my computer now, so I should be able to get back into FT again. (That's why I haven't been playing as of late, although I don't think I ever mentioned why in a post or anything...so now you all know why I haven't been on the Tank.)

alexh wrote ... I feel like everyone just accepts my behavior "as is," and doesn't ask questions. This sucks, and I wish regs and admins would bust my balls from time to time. Well, stating the most obvious problems.... (1) Everyone accepts your behaviour because you run 2 servers and the site.(To a degree) Its understood that its 'your server, your rules' and if someone doesn't like it, there are thousands of other places to play. >I know that you don't approach it like this, but it’s a generally accepted way of thinking throughout CS players. There are clearly many people who like the FT community and the things that you have done for everyone. "hey man, you do a lot of things for us, so we don't mind you being irresponsible at times." < Are you asking to be held accountable for minor everyday issues that we all get into in hopes that they will erupt into a full-on flame war? Many are under the impression that because you do so much for everyone else, it would only be fair to overlook minor incidents where you rip on Kalibur or anyone else because you are not the only one. Many people are just as guilty of being rash at times, myself included. Sometimes the shit can really fly, but you seem to think that because of your position, that you should be perfect at all times. However, it appears that you feel that you are abusing your status or position and that your comments carry more weight than other people’s. Well, you’re the head dude and of course what you say will be taken more seriously then what other’s say. Even in matters of FT recruitment. People will tend to agree with you,,,, or perhaps disagree with you less often because of the weight that your opinion carries. Keep in mind that people kissing your ass is not necessarily because of your status, rather because you make intelligent, logical points via posts and it becomes difficult to argue with your points at times. Sometimes people might agree with you because they trust your opinion and figure that you have researched all contingencies, so the easiest thing to do is just agree with whatever AP posts. Calling you out would not be too beneficial because you are a strong willed individual. (Heck, I couldn't convince you to vote NO for a player who only had 27hrs of playime on FT servers.) Ultimately, you will do as you please because you don’t have to answer to anybody and nobody will strip your admin or FT tag. But isn’t that the point of running your own server? Browsing through random servers and saying ‘this is shit’ to the point where it becomes easier to start your own server and set things up properly in hopes of attracting the similarly dispositioned individuals. Its like if I was to go to the store and purchase a pen. Because I bought it, I have rights over it. I have the ability to use it as I choose, whether it be to write a letter or stick it up my ass, the choice is mine. That is the understanding people generally hold, not just with you in particular, but any server owner. Your 'behaviour', doesn't seem to negatively affect anyone's fun, or else they would not return or at least they would claim abuse or some bitching or something. Don't feel the need to make a big production out of it because it’s pretty evident that the vast majority of the time, you are fun to play with and you don't actually abuse the admin menu, nor do you rip into anybody excessively hard. If you had a bad day and your PMSing about minor details all the time, then how can you enjoy playing if your mind isn't on your actions; rather the actions or non-actions of others. Of course it comes with the territory, but keep in mind that you can mute obnoxious players or RcoN them the MOTD and be less understanding a bit more of the time. I don’t think that you abuse the admin commands. If anything you, (much like me) try to avoid punishments when it would be perfectly fine to drop a slay or mute to save yourself some undue stress later on. (2) You want regs and admins to bust your balls? Lets examine this for a second. Regulars won't bust your balls out of fear of being banned or not getting into FT, or getting admin etc... Even the most honest of suggestions can be misinterpreted and taken the wrong way and its an invitation for friction. Admins won't bust your balls out of fear of losing admin privledges. Such conceptions are vastly general, but again, I'm speaking from commonly held CS beliefs. Those that know you know that you try to be accommodating to everyone, and in return, minor lapses of sanity are overlooked because there's no point turning an ant hill into a volcano. alexh wrote ... I've frequently had admin "meltdowns" over the past month or so, and, while I'm my own worst critic about most things, I'd like other people to tell me how bad it is. The 'meltdowns' that I have witnessed mostly seem to surround the topic of team balance. From what I have seen, that is the main trigger for your gradual demise, and subsequent squabbling before hastily disconnecting, without so much as saying "Peace". You will complain about teams being unfair or stacked and it seems to fluster you on a regular basis. Then, after a few rounds of cash and 130 hp, you will finally swap someone only to have them complain and bitch and ask, "Why did I get swapped man?! WTF." If they were swapped onto your team, you will verbally thrash them via a sarcastic remark over the mic. "Yeah, let's all stack teams. It'll be fun!" This is where I get a good laugh, hearing you rip on some noob, or even a reg. (Heck, I understand that policing the server(s) can be frustrating at times, its just that you seem to get over-stressed about a team winning 3 or 4 rounds in a row. Frankie Says Relax. Things usually level out after a swap or a bad round by the winning team's top player.) But I also look at the time and realize that an abrupt disconnection will soon follow but not before hearing, "Teams are fucked, I've had enough" [FT]Alcohol-Powered (Disconnected). I'm not sure if sometimes you really are vexed about teams, or if it is just late and you gotta work the next day but don't want to feel guilty about leaving on your own accord and use the team issue as a means to get some shut eye without feeling guilty; because you might be under the impression that you are obliged to be the last person off the server. From there, if you are on T and you got your AK in long hall or on the couches in T spawn, and the rest of the T's rush and get killed, than a sarcastic comment by AP will soon be over the mic, saying, "Good rush, fucking great job guys. Lets all leave spawn and die, great plan." This also seems to be a factor in meltdowns. It doesn’t bother me at all, but if you are going to approve a nomination or vote yes to a recruit and justify it as your right to vote as you please, then perhaps the same courtesy can be exchanged in-game. Perhaps saying “Protect the Hosties†would be more effective in some situations. I realize that it’s a strategy and I’m sure that winning the round is easier when everyone sticks together, but its rare to see a full team of Terrorists in T spawn. Its just that sometimes I feel obligated to stay in spawn even when I want to snipe out of a window somewhere. Not all the time, mind you, but after the T’s get raped, I’ll tend to spawn moreso compared to if T’s won a few rounds, I’d be more confident and reach outside of spawn a bit farther. Dude, these are relatively minor matters that should not escalate to the point where you feel overwhelmed and throw your arms into the air and accept defeat. I mean shit, it just seems that everytime you play, you are determined to have a perfect server with fair teams and both sides stick to their objective. It isn't always possible. If a legit effort is made, then that is all that matters because odds are, things will work out within the upcoming rounds. I hate it when teams are stacked too, not because of personal score, but because the players that are getting raped will disconnect and that means less players on the server. I mean, it just seems that everytime I play with you, you are a Terrorist with an AK, in or near T spawn. My suggestion would be for you to try coming onto a server under a different name, and not touch the admin plugin and just play. Put the team balance, strategies, microphone, and admining duties aside for a session and just play. Pull out an autoshotty as a CT and rush garage and take the point of view of a random player and see if that helps to give you a different perspective on the situation. If you change the routine a little, it might help break the cycle of negative chi that you seem to be convinced that is being permeated through your 'meltdowns'. alexh wrote ... Anyways, I'm trying to get this out there. Comment if you want, but I'm not looking for a shoulder to lean on or encouragement. I’m not sure what you are trying to accomplish by apologizing for things that aren’t as messed as you have worked them up to be. I’m sure that the apology was taken to heart by those who might have been offended… but personally I don’t feel that an apology is even necessary. I mean, sometimes you manage to criticize my swaps or make a sarcastic remark when I join the wrong ‘team’. I take this into account because I have a key bound to “@swap gooseâ€. But its nothing that I would take to the extreme because I know that you are just trying to have the best server in all of CS:S and I like playing here, with all of you guys and gals. And yes, when I am playing with you, you seem to assume that I should take a more active role in team-swapping. (or maybe all admins and FT's in general) However, when there is someone on the server, like yourself, that ‘outranks’ me, I might defer some responsibility to you out of respect, not laziness. I usually try to take care of the team that I am on, if another admin is on the opposite side. What sort of annoyed me last night, on FTR was when I joined the game from spec, the teams were 7 players to 6 players with the winning side having the fewer amount of players, thus forcing me to the winning side. Then, someone from the losing team disconnects leaving the winning team with an extra player, me. Thankfully I was put in my place and practically accused of being a ‘stacker’. Using @@ to give me a private sarcastic message just made me feel that you don’t trust me and that you think that my intentions are rank or score oriented. But I'm not looking for an apology because I know that you can rhyme off about a few dozen times when I may have annoyed you. 'Bubble Goose, get out of spawn and drop that scout!' Clearly my earlier days on the server were by no means cordial or necessarily accomodating, but you un-banned me and showed enough faith in me to make me an admin, and now a lead. Normally I would feel downright foolish to bite the hand that feeds, but I just felt like typing and I hope that you know that I really had to dig in order to find something harsh to say. |

Alex man i love you, honestly dont bash yourself on anything. I know its hard trying to handle work, and then coming home, and tryin to run this server, and then having dick heads in there at the same time, cant blame yourself for going all out. Unless you have admins in there to help and take care of it, it'll keep you away from it. With my experience, you havent blown up on me..yet..and im pretty sure you wont, i try to keep it cool and simple. Also i have seen you blow up on Darwin and Larry Bird and i have seen why, and i was there with you to take on Larry Bird cause hes a fucking cock, and i hate him, because he thinks hes a smart ass. And yea darwin can be on annoying fuck, but whatever, if they have something to say, let them, the thing you have to remember is, their behind a computer screen, and your the one with the power, so, use it, know what i mean. Other then that, you've been cool with everything, and you know how to handle your shit, when things are getting complicated, ive seen you order it out, and make it better. Your a great leader and i have no complaint at all. Big up to your bro. Also i may be out of bed rest soon! I havent had any surgery but i am in pain, but not nearly as bad as it was. Peace. |

hmmm i have a feeling I, more then anyone have been the subject of your 'meltdowns' (I could be wrong, i havnt been around lately) and I should probly have the most grievences (spelled wrong i know) but I cant say that i have, on occasion you did blow up at me, like when you banned me, but i fully understand that i probly deserved it and really respect that fact that after the incident you and i discussed things in an orderly fasion. Sometimes it seems you can take things too seriously, but thats understandable as you own the servers and have your own expectations of how they should play. overall if say that your actions are nearly always justified, and even better, you can admit when you have messed up and deal with problems reasonably. youv done as well as anyone in your position. As to Goose....good grief, at least you have paragraphs now : ) Omega aka Absolutely Nothing From wales |
