Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

We've had our ups and downs, and it has sure as hell been a fun ride. I've made so many friends and have had so much fun, but somethings sadly can't last forever. I've finally seemed to have quit CS:S after my 4 year addiction. Feels good and sad at the same time. Hopefully even after all this we can still keep in touch some how. Thanks to anyone and everyone who helped provide the fun times I've had with you all. I <3 you all. Goodbye! (steam: evilpig1337) pm me for other info |

what is the inevitable? That FT will die? No offense, but FTC is not everything to FT. And a new server really wouldn't be Fish Tank Classic, would it. So if you're not talking on terms of our community clan, and more FTC dying, making a new server means FTC is dead. And I don't think FT will go under with surf/tf2/D2/wow etc with all the games we play together. But something will happen if the powers that be want it to, but I can't even tell what they are looking to do. |

i think we should invest in a TF2 server again. alot more people have it now and its starting to take the place of CSS as one of the top multiplayer games out there. the first attempt we had was halfhearted at most, but i think we could definately pull it off. i'd play there, fo sho | ||

I love these half assed ideas. Question, how will you gather enough people, get them to make the commitment to participating and then hold them accountable for following through? I mean we can all throw all the shit we want against the wall to see what sticks, or spout out ideas that we happen to enjoy the most. (I personally love Starcraft, let's start a Starcraft Clan) But how will any of these individual ideas, branching off in a dozen different directions help unify and ultimately increase the popularity & activity of FT? |

obviously FT is still active noskill. Maybe you're not on a lot, but the forums are moving, and look at the front page, many double digit responses to the theads. I've said it before, FTC was not the only thing in FT. and it's ok for people tho through out idea for something they care about. |

Where did I say FT was inactive? Here, I'll answer that for you. I didn't. What I said is that, if people (you reading this right now), want to increase the popularity and activity of FT (why else would you be talking about purchasing another server) Then said people should, get together, like on vent or in a chat room and talk about what options are available to them. They should determine what type of server they would want to run, making sure that there has been sufficient interest and demand expressed in creating it to warrant spending the money. They should gather a team of people, decide who is going to be the operator, decide who else will be the leads and ultimately who will be the admins. Get all the files together so the server can be launched immediately. Then they should determine what company they want to purchase the server from and why, find a group of investors or otherwise determine how the server will be paid for, purchase it and launch it. I mean that's it... that's how you start a server. It starts with finding a group of people who all share the same goals/interests. And all I've seen is a dozen different people with a half dozen different goals/interests/ideas. (we've seen custom rotation, tf2, D3, I think someone mentioned WoW, and FTC revival) All of the ideas are perfectly fine on their own and legitimate to base a clan off of. But if you're expecting all of FT to embrace, support and cultivate your idea... well I think reality will prove otherwise. So while it's fine and dandy that people want to throw ideas out, ideas aren't going to create or populate servers. Stop thinking and start doing. That's my advice. |

Ugh... so it's finally here. Obviously my interest in the financial and leadership responsibilities of FTC dropped off since last spring. The Happy Birthday surprise of July 1 inspired me to get involved again, but I suppose I delayed the inevitable. It seemed as if FTC was on the rebound in early July after officially moving back to the preexisting NFO rental. Omni was talking about what needed to be fixed and Goose, Omega and I were discussing our continued and, in my case, renewed involvement in FTC. We had the prospect of a new face or two in the leadership team but unfortunately the momentum of those discussions dropped off quickly. As much as I would like to do so, there is no sense in beating myself up, or others, over the weary topic of what went wrong. Previous posts in this thread indicate, to me at least, that most folks are ready to let go. It may ease my mind to debrief you in the long-winded (and arguably annoying) fashion in which I have made many forum posts but I sincerely doubt it otherwise serves a purpose. Good luck to the FT community and especially the FTS folks. The loss of FTC does not necessarily mar a respectable and long-standing community. There are plenty of dedicated and creative people involved in FT to keep it afloat. I would wish you the best of luck, but you don't need luck when you've got talent. i still dont get this... I mean, i want FTC to stay forever like the rest of you, but sometimes you need to move on. And i mean move onto other games. We need to branch. The forums is what keeps us united still. One server such as FTC did not make this clan, and one server will not keep us united. If you want to keep investing into a dying game then so be it. I dont think CSS has much time left. I give it another 8 months before things really turn out for the worst. I already see a lot less servers then i used to, and a lot less options. The only maps i ever see played are a few customs, office, surf, and dust2. THERE ARE LIKE 8482947 others that no one plays anymore. Its a sign. I will play where ever you guys go. I just think we should expand a bit. Like i mentioned earlier... if we base this clan in CSS, then when CSS dies, so will we. |
