For the next 3 months, we focus soley on Surf and HnS servers and getting them populated. Try to make them the best Surf and HnS servers on Steam. Using these servers we increase the traffic to our website & forums and also increase our active FT member base with a new way of recruiting. Once we get up to 100 active members in FT or 3 mo's (whichever comes first). We then pool together some funds and determine what type of server we want to add to our repetoire. AWPs? Custom Rotation? Stock Rotation? 24/7 Office? CAL Rotation? Zombie? Fun maps? Some crazy mix based on a kick ass in-game vote system? Why you should vote for this plan: 1) It's easy. The only thing anyone needs to do is Omni needs to make sure the Galore server is continued for at least one more payment cycle. 2) This will give us time to build our member base and FOCUS on servers we know we can populate without too much effort. 3) Because this plan doesn't involve any individual's idea or personal preference. This plan is simply a continuation of what works and an abandonment of what doesn't based on tangible results. Potential Objections to the Plan: "I don't want to play Surf or HnS." Me neither but in looking at the connections many people do. And the needs of many people outweigh the needs of myself or any other individual who doesn't like these servers. "But if you don't cater to the people who don't want to play Surf/HnS then they will leave." Fuck them. If all they care about is their individual personal level of happiness and satisfaction. Fuck them, go fuck yourselves selfish pricks. This is an infinitely better course of action for FT than to bicker and debate for an eternity over what type of server to make and how to populate it. All this does is further divide our #1 resource, the people. "You're gay and I don't like you." That's ok... it's ok not to like me, I'm not a nice person. But that's why even though it's called "NoSkill's Plan" it actually has nothing to do with me. The plan could easily be called "The Do What Works Plan" but that doesn't roll off the tounge as well. "Who's going to follow through with this plan?" Well... considering all it takes is for you to play in 1 or both of our 2 servers, I guess you are. There's not much to do. If you don't like either of the servers well then wait then wait the 3 months and hope the server you do like is the one that get's chosen to be continued. "Why is this plan better than any other plan?" Because this plan doesn't involve the impossible task of "unifying the masses". Seriously people if you think you're going to convince, 5, let alone 50, other people to do something they genuinely do not want to do. You're out of your fucking mind. "What about the plan to bring back FTC?" While revitalizing FTC is a noble goal, it's not going to happen, at least not now. Connections have been dropping for over 6 months. No recent event has lead to it's collapse. As a matter of fact it's been dying for a long time. I'm sorry if you don't want to admit this or refuse to accept it but it's true. It was also a very expensive server. (3 times as much as the Galore server) If after 3 months we can build up a base of active members who show enough interest in relaunching FTC, then hey, whatever, in 3 months we can do anything we want if we have a pool of active people to pull from. But right now we simply don't have those people. Action Steps: 1) Omni continue the Galore server for 1 more payment cycle. 2) Amped see if you can get stats on the HnS server so we don't have to rethink the way we recruit too much and can still use the standard hours/posts requirements. (all we need to know is how many hours people spend) 3) Everyone try to play on Surf or HnS if you want, if not that's ok too, but come to the forums often, try to keep the mindset of "we are recruiting". 4) Wait. Wait and see if the servers get popular over the next few months, wait and see if people join the forums as a result. If they do, excellent. If they don't, well then we haven't lost anything and it's back to the drawing board but I don't think this will happen. 5) Trust me. |

It's better to do something than nothing. Considering we are in a little crisis, would an easier way to get into the clan be an answer? Like, lowering the hours/post requirements to get members faster? I mean if we don't like members we can always vote them out via termination. But if we want to get people to help get things back to the way they were, we have to make things easier to get in here. I have almost 30 days of hours put into FTC. It's hard to let something like that go. However, I DO have my theories on the connection losses based on personal observation. One of them was that people were tired of constantly being swapped. And two, people were tired of a stacked team on T winning two rounds, then CT, thus creating any chance against them to get any sort of cash. People would get frustrated, and that would leave to a mass load of people leaving. People liked the lose 3 rounds and get 8k cash thing. But as for team balance, it should be left in the hands of the admins. This is tough, however, because some of the admins do not express interest in ever balancing teams. It's not hard to swap yourself, or someone else skilled on your team to the other one. I just think with a team balancing script on, all the swapping had turned people off. It's sad, but even statwhores are people too, and if we ever want FTC back we're going to have to succumb to their demands too. |

Why are you hijacking my thread about the future with stuff about the past? There are numerous posts already out there about FTC, its past, present and future status. Why don't you edit your post and put that in one of those threads. This thread has nothing to do with FTC, the only reason I put it here was because this forum was where the discussion was occuring. Actually if someone could move this to the Community Clan that would be great. (I don't have admin in this forum to do it myself) All you need to do is agree/disagree with the plan. Being in the situation we are right now, one of our (probably the most) lowest points in our community, I don't think this is a bad idea, two servers makes it much easier to focus on than three. I'll be coming on Surf more, maybe H&S too, and expect others to do the same if they really care about our community. /Agree. |

i agree with op. ftc is on the lam for now. put the money away, build up a player base with HnS, then bring back FTC when the clan is active again enough. its going to take time. no matter what happens, FTC was and still is my HOME for over 2 years. lets never forget all the good times. |

I really like this plan. A lot of it "requires" people to do things that they are already doing on free will. One suggestion thought, it probably wouldn't hurt to put a *recruiting* in both the surf and HnS server titles. | ||

H&S has been full almost every night. If anything, I say we scrape a few funds out of Galore server and drop it onto a larger server for that. This kid Soccers has been in all the time. He would know who the regulars are already, etc etc. Also, I've seen something special in other servers... "Want admin? Contact Omni. $20 for two months. Any abuse, no refunds" so that's like saying, if they get any complaints, we can take their admin away and keep their fucking money. It's not a scam, they would be warned alot before they even handed us anything. I say it would upgrade our funds some, and gives a self-sustaining server with moar Admins. Sorry if I'm mainly focusing on H&S, but surf has always been thriving, you don't need help Rusty. You've mastered it, I now bow to you *slow bow* |

This is a great plan. Last night i was in hide and seek and i said that if you guys like the server join our website and sign up, then make an intro. Then i said does anybody here like surf? I got like 4 more people to add the surf server to there favs. The people who play surf tend to like H&S and vise versa. They can feed of off each other for now and expand our members. /agree |

well, thanks zero, but it's a collaboration of members and us ops that really get things going. But I'm down for the idea noskill, I was hoping we'd find a way to keep h&s going since it's a lot of fun, and pretty basic once you get the hang of it. So, cool! |
