Well, as I see F7L5 right now, we are in a downward spiral that we are having trouble getting out of. Admins fighting, can't afford the server anymore really, and it is never full, at all times of the day like it used to be. I'm sure you're all saying, well everyone is working and in school, but this time last year, durring school, it was always full, and almost always fun. I think we are loseing it, and I think the main cause are the members of F7L5. we can't think we are higher or better than anyone else, we are the same. This causes big problems. but here are a list of things I see that need to be improved. - Admins need to grow up. The power you have isn't for your own good, it is to help everyone else out int he server. An admin needs to follow the rules, I mean, sure have fun and everything. I enjoy a good slap war as much as someone else, but you can't just go around kicking and banning. There is a slay, a slap, a mute a gimp. There are so many punishments for bad behavior. DOn't just go kick or ban happy. An other thing is admin fighting on the server, this is a bad idea. This is going to make people leave. Settle disputes either on forums, or in admin only chat. The BIGGEST problem with admins are, they don't pay that much attention to things that don't concern them. If a person has a complaint in game, and the admin doesn't see it, that admin is doing a bad job. Now, if a person complains to admin only chat, and the admin doesn't see it, that admin shouldn't be admin. There should be rounds that if someone complains about a spawn attacker, you should go spec, and watch the person so you can lay the smack-down on his candy ass (sorry just got a new wrestling game!). But really, think more about your conversation, and your time playing surf. If you just want to surf and not care, ask to have your admin taken away, please, for everyone else. -members have a huge ego problem in our group. Tbey think they roam the F7L5 server as a god, and everyone else is a shit pile on the side of the road. This needs to stop. Members need to follow the rules, the regs and non regs (nonmembers) are supposed to look up to you, to become regs. We want people to become regs, so we can allow them to partake in our community, then they have the chance to become a member of F7. Recently, we've been letting in people who aren't regs, who we don 't really know if they care about the server or not. I mean, even though I took like a 2 month break, I don't feel two months is long enough to get to know how someone really feels. I mean, if a person leaves because they aren't accepted into F7 after a month, we are better off without them. Members are too allowing and accepting. I'm not saying be dicks, we should all be warm and nice to the people that are good players looking to have fun -our rules are great, I mean, its strict, but not to strict, like a tight girl, its a good fit, but not too loose, not too tight. Those are the best! So we need to follow and enforce our rules just so they are like one of those girls! This is part admins, and part members. Admins can't let everything go, but can't not let somethings go. Spawn attacking, thats a slay, or something along those lines, give them a few chances, but make sure to explain why you did it, and you include their name, so they know it was to them. Members, try and warn others about the rules if no admins are present, but do not be rude or mean about it. We all have short fuses for some reason, but lets attach a cig to the back of it so it is longer while the cig burns down. and I have a question, where has my pope gone? We miss you, come back to us! you too narf, start surfing again, it can be fun sometimes (if you haev anything else to add, go ahead, but this includes myself, this is to everyone in F7L5, and something needs to be done) I love you all |

People* are aware of this, and they* will be doing thigns, to change everything for the better. Hopefully mid 2007, they* will get things back to the way they used to. I understand all your points, and I personally saw admin abuse like you can't imagine. * = They will not be named, for reassons. I am NOT one of them, but I know of them. Don't try asking me who they are, couse I won't ever say. |

rusty i agree with you on alot of thses. i am trying my hardest to make the server fun for everyone. Also, the tk punishment is down and the voting is messed. I am going to fix that tonight. And yes, the admins are fighting, and that is a result of abuse. I see abuse all the time, i dont do anything about it because the server isnt full, but when the server is full and there are regulars on there shouldnt be abuse. I think, we as a clan, need to come up with ideas of how to improve the server. One other thing: When we go on machine 2, i see a DRASTIC improvement in people. We went on the other day and there were 2 people and by the time we left machine 2 it was nearly full. So, dare i say it, we need to play machine 2 more. (how will we manage that?) |

i used to love when everyone went to weekly meetings, full house of people, discussed about letting in people to join f7 and have a vote on it, play together, etc. Now we let people into f7 once every two days! i kind of wish that we could bring that back. also, get the feeling that the people who vote for these people just met them and talked for 5 mins (im one of those), and vote yes. i'm not against those people, you vote your own way, but please, try to get to know the people a little before you vote yes to someone. get their xfire, chat with them, exchange thoughts, play together, etc. Edited Tue Dec 26 2006, 11:30PM |

I agree with everything that rusty posted. And american, the most played map is machine_2 and people that i have on xfire will join if it is on machine_2 or japan. They like those 2 maps and those are the most played. | ||

well, yeah me nostie and rusty were talking about this shit last night. i agree with him, recently almost everytime im in the server with couple admins, they are doing something, mute wars, kicking, banning. One problem that i think rusty didn't quite hit. Not all but some of the members are not mature(purely opinion) enough at all....i can't tell you how many times i mute everyone on my player list because people never shut up on their mics. As rusty said, people who play there look up to our members...if our memebers are immature...people who want to be part of the clan are immature. And since people seem to care more about picking dingleberries out their ass than who gets in the clan, the immature person is now in!!! isn't that great, now we have even MORE immature people in the clan. I'm not really gonna talk about the admin problem cause i have no room to talk other than what i see because i'm not an admin and it wouldn't really make sense to me to bitch about something i don't know much about. and btw emerican...yesterday on machine2, we left machine2 with about 5 people on it....hmmm just soo happened that admins were having a nice little mute war, and memebers were mic spamming. so the statement about server being almost full by the end of the map was not true...it got pretty high, but people left because of the admins fighting and bassically being little bitches sorry if i offened anyone, but im fucking tired of people in the clan being immature, bad admins, and mic spammers. and also...im just wondering...fish tank leet surfers does that mean that you should probably be a GOOD surfer to be in the clan, or do we just let anyone who plays enough on the server to be in the clan...i don't think we should let people in simply cause they play alot....the term "leet surfers" means we should probably only let in the really good surfer as opposed to just a good or average surfer... just wondering if that plays into anyone's voting |

the consistant muting NEEDS TO STOP. Im serious. Its not completely our falt that all of us choose to hit the talk button at the same time. The fun days was when people DIDNT CARE about the constant mic spamming. It was the least important thing on their minds, and now everyone focuses on it. We have all these rules, and enforce them so much as to not make the server fun. It is not fun to be constantly muted. When people care about this it drives them nuts and they just mute everybody and it just makes it worse. | ||

we've had the how many maps argument so much. Because people would play all day, and the 7th or 8th time they go back to a map already played, its annoying, so we wanted more maps. then was the skill or combat surf maps, we should have more, less etc. This isn't the biggest server problem, because we have the popular maps. and people will want to play those, but some random fun ones can't hurt! | ||

Well we just happen to have a solution! Heres what you do:
A lot of people(maybe admins) have forgotten about this and maybe somehow ended up fighting, so whether its and admin or a player they both can mute whoever they want without affecting anyone else. |
