Pope playing right now would be just as good as any other member, since he's not an OP anymore... so I don't know where you were getting with that noname... You're right, it's not the same... but I'm thinking it might just be a general thing... no problem with leadership |

i have tried my absolute best to get this server the way it used to be. Ive been playing this server for over a year and ive seen people come and go. But its never been this bad. Even during the whole LG thing we constantly had a full server. One of the things that attracted me to this server, believe it or not, was the mic spamming. I find it fun to play with people chatting it up on the mic. When the admins constantly mute people, or abuse their admin, it drive people away and pisses off members. Ive givin admin to people who i think are responsible, and who play alot, such as brian, mafia, and pingpong. As for the maps, I have added a shitload, and weve tested em out, and the ones we liked i kept on. When i get back, we are going to have a meeting where we test out all the old maps and pick which ones we want to keep/ditch. I think we need 2 or 3 more good, fun maps. Glitch, i think that is a great idea. We have a ton of admins that no longer play anymore, and alot of the members dont play at surf much anymore. We're going to have to weed out the old, inactive members and elect new members (such as sk8) into the clan. Im getting my comp back monday or tuesday, so by then il be back and palying again. Once i get back ill have access to ftp again and ill be able to do anything else. If anyone has any suggestions, let me or kd or bleek know. Ill do anything i possibly can to save our clan and server. |

well, you guys, you know this is narf's server, so i think we need some help from the big guy himself before we can just go around changing the server. | ||

narf has given emerican final say... so listen to him  And also: emerican... i don't think new maps are what will help: i think that going back to japan, 10x, omega - all of the classic maps as the mapcycle will help make people feel at home... I NEVER see people join Surf when it's on some weird custom map... so let's get back to the classics |

Japan isn't a classic. Classic surf maps include surf_skyworld, surf_skyscraper, surf_10xfinal, surf_I_hate_campers, surf_raceway, surf_leet (original), surf_dreamer, surf_f7l5c (not really classic, but a good map). Another way of getting more people to play, is by setting up Fast Map download, and adding that to the server name. The only mods that work well: Muggin, NoBlock, Betting. Take away all those god damn sounds too. Their funny, but people hate downloading them. Another serious problem is admins talking in Green Talk. Stop it. It's annoying to the regular players. Spamming the rules via admin say, should also be stopped, for the same reason. Admins be more strict. If there is an asshole that TKs, over and over, after being slayed and warned, chances are, they are retards who shouldn't be playing on the server anyways. These sorts of idots take away from the server quality. Next, we should restrict nades, flashes, etc. They contribute to spawn attacking, and get in the way of gameplay. If we apply those changes, we might have a chance of pulling through. |

Everybody had good idea's, but my idea is maybe trying a 24/7 surf map, just 1 map, find the funnest map that everybody loves, with the highest income of players. SO then you dont have to keep downloading all the maps(that what i hate most) They will have to download that 1 single map and then they should be great to go for the rest of the times they play on that server. Most severs that have rotation usually don't do good but alot of 27/7 single map servers (like FT) does really well and the rate of people that join is high. Maybe we should take the ideas of 27/7 cs_office and use them for the surf. And maybe in the future we can all the sounds things llike bleek said. Just my idea on the situation -Eric |

i hate i_hate_campers. lol yeah we need to keep playing the older classics. i agree with that. but what i meant by new maps were newer maps that are played alot on cs that attract people. I miss the leet map with the jail. i liked that map. if anyone can find it please tell me so i can put it on the server. Ill take away the sounds then. |

I found a server that is 24/7 Rebel Resistance. It's always full, because that map tends to attract people. Perhaps putting that map on will get people to come. Every time I see it on that, I join whether I'm alone or not, because I love that map. | ||

nostie hates the leet map w/ jail ;D I haven't seen many people on when Rebel Resistance was on, though... Scoutzknivez, i agree, is a pretty damn good map |
