maybe a 27/7 surf_scoutzknifez with the fun sounds that make everything fun(boomhead shot) and maybe turning on all talk so people can talk trash to each other you really dont need to be secrative on surf maps |

a 24/7 surf map would be boring. thats my opinion. we have so many great maps to choose from. 10x. machine. machine2. its fun playing em all | ||

i've also found a 24/7 RPG Surf server with 40 or 50 Slots, and it's always full. so maybe that's another idea? also, i totally disagree with the one map idea, it'll get boring too quick for me. Edited Sat Jan 13 2007, 06:05PM |

I really liked the surf server back in that breif period of time where we had fun maps as well as surf maps on the server (blahhhh_s ftw), and I think that attracted a lot of new people at that time as well. It would be cool to have fun maps on there again, and I have also made some new fun maps since. kddude, you mentioned adding bots to attract people. Let me say that every time I join a server just to find out the other "players" are bots, I feel cheated and tend to ignore that server from then on unless it's blatently obvious that real live people are on there. Plus it's easy to tell wether or not the players on the server are bots because under server info, bots will always have a ping of 0, or have exactly the same time logged on the server as each other. So I don't think bots are the answer here. o, and I hate rpg mod as well. |

hmm toast that is a great idea. i hadnt even thought about that. take a couple of the old custom maps and put em back on, such as breakfloor and dollz and blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hey... since ppl hate downloading tons of maps over and over... like me, is there anyway you can make like a jumbo packet... zipfile or some type of folder with all the maps that you will put on the server. the .bsp files. download them all at once and display in the MOTD that go to our forums to donwload the packet. It will eliminate downloading maps to get into the server and i think will DEFINTELY get more ppl. When i want to surf.. i get an urge.. sometimes that urge disappears after sitting there downloading for 3 minutes. This is also another way to get more ppl to the forums as well.
