Lets face it, F7L5 isn't what it used to be, we had lots of people on the server, good admins were on all the time, etc. We had meetings, decided on stuff, discussed, nominated people, just like the forums but it was weekly. We had a hell of a fun time, then as time went on, people started leaving, assholes destroying the clan (like the LG clan issue). I'm sure many of you 'new' members have no idea what i'm talking about, but it was the best back then. Now, pretty much every old member has left/become a dickhead and got kicked, our OPs play WoW 24/7 and our community has become in the hands of other people. We have rule breakers, dumbasses, etc. on the server, I hardly ever see more than 12+ people on the server, I never see members/regulars on the server because A - No one's on B - They're too busy with going to other servers like office C - They're sick of the abuse/rule breakers, and hardly no admins to serve justice D - All of the above So, what the hell are we going to do? We need to get Narf/Pope back here and other members who dont play surf a lot, need some way to attract people, get rid of old admins and give admin to people who actually play, get meetings having a full house, not just 8 members. We need to have maps people like to play on, get rid of bad maps. Maybe add some new features. I know I'm not the only one who thinks our clan is going down the hole. I know some of our members like emerican/kddude/bleek, etc. have tried to help, but we need more than that. I mean, I love F7L5, and I do not want to see it fall apart this easily. |

like u stated.. new members dont know this. i dont know about this because i wasnt aroun here long enough. but i do love to surf. but surfing alone sucks. i go there every now and then. Granted i hate downloading the damn maps, but hey, its worth it. We just need mroe ppl on there. Like office.. when theres ppl on there its fun. Regs and member make it fun. Im sure we will think of something even if it has to do with scrapping it and starting over. | ||

I'm still here, and I still play. There are a couple F7L5 members I see on regularly, but the majority of the F7L5 roster, I haven't seen in a fare amount of time. It's ridiculous. In the meantime, it seems to me that 90% of the time that I see F7L5 members/admins on, they aren't enforcing rules, or are even breaking them themselves. I rarely play FTC myself, I'm mostly surf. | ||

i'm not really an old memeber...but i played surf since the beggining of the year and i know excatly what your talking about noname.. i try and play at least once a day...but glitch is right...its not very fun surfing by yourself. i think one of the biggest problem is that no one is on the sever. if it was like it used to be when so many people were always on, i bet we wouldn't even be having this thread. I think more than just a couple people notice the clan is going for shit...but i think most of the members..that actually play and shit, are trying to straighten it out. We're bringing meetings back, and getting new admins. Leadership, is what i would say is our biggest problem...bassically, we have none. The whole updating the server thing is a good idea..i think we should take off maps that are extremely unpopular..maybe add some new ones who knows Honestly, i don't know what excatly i personally can do to help out other than to just play more and keep the rules, but i definately agree...things should change |

yea.. i think you should start over and scrap everything. Its like making an old house new.. do u fix all the old floors and walls and paint over the old paint. do you fix the leaks.. NO. you gut the house out and start over with all new floors and pipes and paint. New bathroom and kitchen. Imo, i think you should take admin away from all the people cept the ones that are still playing surf. Kick all the non-active people out and start over. Re-vamp the server, new maps, take out unpopular ones like drunk said. And advertise. Keep going with the meetings. thats just my two centz. |

I know something we could do. We can add bots in spectator that make it look like the server has more people then it really does, that always makes me join servers. Also, I think the only ting wrong with us right now is the lack of activity on the server. Glitch, I think that's a good idea. After all, we gotta keep this clan going. This is a great clan, and like noname said, I'd hate to see it fall apart so easily. Also, Emerican, Bleek and I can add any mods you think would help the activity of the server and attract more people, just provide the link and we'll put em on. Also, it'd be helpful to tell the maps that people are most attracted to, so then we can try to keep those ones going more often. I know some maps are overplayed, I'll see if there are any new popular ones that all the popular surf servers have on.  sOh, I forgot. I know this sounds kind of boring/tedious, but what I used to do to get people on the server is just join when no one is there, and just leave css running in the background. Someone will join, then more people join till you have a good crowd going. Just set it to a popular map, and let people joining do the rest. Edited Sat Jan 13 2007, 07:39AM |

Be the change you want to see. Its true, WoW is contagious. Consider yourself warned. Be more specific, offer map rotation lists or maps to remove. Offer up changes that you think will get more PLAYERS not just hits. If you want to play people and join a server thinking there are, you will not want to come back if you find they are bots or in spec. Yes there is the chance that the two will get more players from getting more hits. Though wont these bots be unable to surf, unless maybe a special dummy map was made(...angrytoaster) or smarter bots (...CSS Surf '07). That would make them spawn attackers/campers and screw up the server environment. The quickest way to see changes is to make the work easy for Pope and Narf to get around to between leveling in WoW. |
