Kd im very sry for this post but honestly when i was operating the server, it was a passion, a joy for the members and everyone who played on there.... when you first got operator you looked at it more of a job... and now... well i can say shit is fucked up... im not blaming anyone but... wow wtf... no offense to anyone but usually when i see someone breaking a rule most of the time the admins wont do anything about it unless it affects them or pisses them off. when i was leader/operator, if someone broke a fucking rule u practically broke my legs. it rly did kind of hurt when someone broke the rules knowingly it rly rly did. it fucking hurt when someone would only join just to go and be a douche or just start being a douche when provoked instead of just working it out. and well.. if i cant atleast try and do something about it.. who the fuck will, spartan has given up all hope after this long but i havent Edited Tue Aug 14 2007, 05:31AM |

no spartan kd is no copy of nostie..... he just still hasent found a reason... a reason to stick with it and make sure himself that things go right.... most of the time ppl are just xfiring him about what does go wrong.... and what is really being done about these things? i have no clue... but i still think that Kd looks at it as more of a job than as something that rly makes ur day. i dont rly think i could ever lose hope for this... if i can't fix it... i can wait.... if this beautiful clan ever does go under..... i will do anything i possibly can to get a higher credit rating and be accepted by a credit card company, and i most definatly will bring it back.... no hesitation... no buts.... no questions asked, i would do it as fast as i possibly could |

Yeah, I loved the olden days, where pope would rape me for fun.. and no one complained about abuse..I still love surf, but I just don't have as much fun as I used to.. kd and nostie are doing the best they can.. We can play other games too.. but I dont want to get in this.. I do agree with MOST of what spart and pope are saying. | ||

I like the server the way it is. It has evolved a bit since I started to surf (around january), and I don't think things are in need of complete change. I know you all want to hop on the Pope bandwagon and get him to be an OP again, but that isn't how things are run. I know he's previously been an OP, and has contributed a hell of a lot more to the clan than most anyone else (myself included). However, our current operators (Nostie, Kddude, and I think Toasters + DarkNarf) are doing a fine job running the server. Sure, some of you may think that admin abuse is fun, however, a lot of other people don't find it so. For example, I was scared away from the server when I first started playing because of Emerican. He would randomly start slapping, teleporting, and giving weapons to players all the time. I didn't really think that was fun, personally, and others don't as well. You might call me a liar, but there is a silent group of people that either don't want to post in this thread, or haven't stumbled upon it yet to voice their opinions. Now, you might argue with me because I wasn't around back in the so called "Golden Age." Which, is true. I wasn't. I didn't even own counter-strike at the time. However, I'm a firm believer in living in the present. It's nice to reflect upon the past at times, but don't live in the past. Don't try to make things the way they used to be, it just doesn't work out. Instead, channel your energies into making what we have currently the best it can be. Now, I'm not saying we need to totally reform F7 and make it so KD and Nostie aren't OPs, and we have Pope running the show. However, I'm moreso proposing we reach a median. Use this thread as a discussion, of the changes both sides (fun-lovers and more serious gamers) want, and find a median. All of us will need to make some compromises, and we'll need to have serious discussions about what has to go on. Drastic measures, for example, leaving the clan, and demoting our current operators are not needed. Instead we could fiddle with the rules a little bit, change them around to appease the more fun loving crowd. Allow more wiggle-room for [fun] admin abuse (i.e. slapping, time bombs etc when the time is right), without going overboard. Also, if we do implement some changes, which I think it's obvious people want, then we need to work on it. It's not something that'll happen over night. Try to be open to everyone's ideas, and see yourself in their position. Don't just flip a shit on me for being against what you believe in, hell, I love the server the way it is, but I do recognize that a large portion wants some change. |
