Im taking this video production class and our first project was to just take a bunch of clips and shit and throw them together with some music or whatever. Or take an already made video and alter it in some way. We are using Final Cut Pro in class.... and you all know how much i HATE Mac's and everything Apple. SO, ive been doing most of my work at home using Sony Vegas 9.0. I havent used the thing in like 3 years so im a bit rusty... but overall i think my vid came out pretty decent. Its a mash up of different Jason Statham film clips, explosions, and a song i thoroughly enjoy which i also slightly altered. I had to use "Apple Video" file types for all the clips i found which sucks cuz the quality could be much better.... but my professor said to use it to keep file size down, and so the clips could work flawless on the gay Mac computers. Yeah I know exactly how you feel glitch about using macs. I had to use a dual c2d 2.66 ghz apple g5 in my Maya 3d animation class and hated it. My 2.4ghz c2d rendered in the same time. Overall looks pretty good. Excellent choice in music dope I'm Back. Was the song we were going to use for the revival of FTC

My only advice, and it's hard to do but when I see it it really gives videos that oomph factor. Tie the build ups in songs to builds ups in action. Like that first song when the guy sings "make it go BOOM" or w/e like 2 seconds later he throws someone through the window. If you can make the Boom coincide with the window smash. You'd be golden. Some techniques for sinking it up is the "immediate replay" of hard hits for example to gain the seconds you need (time code is neccesary). Or "stutter steps" like the frame moving slower but in steps. |

Oh wait you seem to have done it later in the vid. Pretty good, all though listening to that song twice is a little ahhhhhh lol. Looney tunes close is great. | ||

A girl made a video just like that and posted it to facebook.... so i made one too and posted it to facebook. The lulz were priceless. But yea noskill, i was trying but between work and my other 4 classes i just couldnt find the time to put in the effort i needed. And the second half of the video is the full length song. I just cut it at a certain point in the song that dies down, added the sound from that clip and built it up a bit more. But yea, looney toons came to me right before i rendered it. I figured i would throw that in for the classroom lulz. But thanks for the feedback. Im still learning the ins and outs of Sony Vegas so i can add better effects. The class im in will eventually teach me how to use Adobe After Effects so i cant wait to make me shoot energy bolts from my hands rofl |

in the beginning, there's a cut in the sound. You should fix that up. (between the intro that says statham and the other shit). Either fade out the music or push them together, whichever sounds better. P.S. he says fuck a lot in the song. not sure if you want that in a project for a class...
