Lol I jus finished a 20 page paper for my GBus 180 course ALL on apple's history, past, where i think they are heading, etc etc I have no real thoughts about Apple though, I mean they make shit ton of money, and people in china love Ipads and ipods almost as much as we do, probably more, for w.e reasons ALOT of it is marketing, but marketing is something that only happens once your established, like an amplifier. They did make good products initially that was really innovative. now its all kinda Repetitive (nanos, and the icloud, and the i this and the ithat are jus annoying to hear about now) There share of stock just dropped 25 dollars to. I was talking to my professor who had 1000 shares who lost 25,000 dollars yesterday ( 1,000 shares selling at $25 a pop) so i think Apple in general is gonna suffer in the near future. For the record though, tributiing a video to Someone who put so much energy into something great, and to have that video be nothing more than destroying it is pretty messed up in my opinion, and kinda ruined the video for me... apple got most of its tech for the first iPhone from other companies. Essentially, all they did was throw a phone radio in a Palm. The lack of using a pen to interact with the device was invented by a company called Fingerworks. Fuck apple. |

And the first iPod was not the first mp3 player. Apple just created a "prettier one" no joke (true fact) and people bought it. Once that happened, they marketed the fuck out of it and established the brand name they have today. Smart? Yes. Innovative? Not really in my opinion. | ||

Put one in front of me, and I'll boot camp Windows 7 on it so I can use it properly. However, I will say that the first iPod was a solid piece of engineering. it even had 320kbps playback (now I don't think it's even a shitty 96kbps). Consider that at the time of it's release, most mp3 players had about the storage space of one or two CDs or cost over $300, and no software to back any of them up. What really was the key to iPod's success was the iTunes programming behind it. Apple also spent millions on their marketing, this is true, but they were able to integrate it with all your devices because of this (I think they even made a VW Beetle with a special iPod holder). Now that everyone else has caught up though, I'd say go with an android powered device. The open platform and integrability makes it 10 times better than any iPod available. |

i think the andriod is a bit more expensive though but my aunt, who is paid up the ass, has the latest one, and that shit does everything. like, i think it has a wipe your ass app. If i had the money it wouldnt be a contest as to which is better. |

I can get an android phone that runs fast and flawless for the price of an iPhone 3GS.... oh wait... that's free now. Unless your buying the new phones... just like iPhone... they are expensive unless bought with a plan... then they are like $200 $300. And toasters... Apple doesnt need to be super innovative anymore. They already have their fan base. People will always buy it. People don't like change. Simple as that. People are lazy. They wanna be spoon fed. |
