all these drummer are very talented. i mean its all different kind of music. slipknot is a metal band while this other dude sound sliek hes more of a jazz/alternative/country drummer.. like i said earlier... i should just quit while im ahead lol But if i must critque these drummers, id say that Joey is awsoem for the simple fact that jhis speed and stamina are amazing. You have to think about it how fast his wrists are moving to roll those sticks consistently like that for so long. But then we have this other dude who doenst move as fast until certain parts of the song but his technique is fantastic. Lets not forget Joey was playign a drum solo, that is why it was fast and random and crazee like that. If he was playing a song it would be a whole lot different. Edited Wed Jan 03 2007, 07:05PM |

yea glitch is right...there are many type of kits for different styles. joey has many bass-y drums and a lot of cymbals and triangles for a tribal sound..like old aztec tribal sounds. and not to mention slipknot has two other percussionists that bring a variety of beats to their music. the other two use custom welded kits with flipped over bass drums and beer kegs. they aim for unique sounds. liek jon bonham(drummer from Led Zeppelin for you n00bs who dont know) he used gongs and a lot of cymbals to and he totally kicked ass. so drumming has a variety of stuff you can do to make it sound unique. PS=Joey is a really fast drummer. he had to cut his jumpsuit to like short length bcuz he couldn't move his legs enuff for the bass drums. |
