I tried it, but nothing happened, but then again I wasn't using a pepsi can or a playing card... and my cell phone is 6 years old. I'll try it eventually, I think I have an old cell phone like that. And no it's not radiation. Just thinking about the physics of it, the antenna is being used to create a type of electromagnetic field between all four of the batteries, which repels the dime.
