Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Really? That’s very noble yet naïve too. Ask yourself, “how much is it worth to protect America’s economy, military industrial complex/military superiority as well as the American way of life/standard of living?” Are a few thousand lives worth it? The US government certainly thinks it is.
Before looking directly at the events of 9/11, you have to look at the years leading up to it and think of the event as merely one piece of a larger puzzle. Particularly, lets look at something that economists and global governments have known about for decades,,, Peak Oil. -[link]-
I, agree with emer. there is nothing anyone can do or say to justify killing 3500 innocent civilians. “If 2005 was the year of global Peak Oil, worldwide oil production in the year 2030 will be the same as it was in 1980. However, the world’s population in 2030 will be both much larger (approximately twice) and much more industrialized (oil-dependent) than it was in 1980. Consequently, worldwide demand for oil will outpace worldwide production of oil by a significant margin. As a result, the price will skyrocket, oil-dependant economies will crumble, and resource wars will explode."This is old news. Even though the global peak hit, it is also dependant on when countries’ demand exceeds its ability to produce or acquire a supply. Many South-American countries have passed the peak and are on a downward slope. For a highly industrialized country like the US, the Peak is expected to come within the next 10-15 years. It has a far greater impact on a nation that is as dependent on it as we are. How does it link to 9/11 though? “In a similar sense, an oil-based economy such as ours doesn't need to deplete its entire reserve of oil before it begins to collapse. A shortfall between demand and supply as little as 10-15 percent is enough to wholly shatter an oil-dependent economy and reduce its citizenry to poverty.”Its pretty evident that we need oil to sustain our way of life/economy. That much is fact and difficult to dispute. Because domestic oil reserves are somewhat limited, there is a high dependence on foreign oil reserves to fulfill our cravings. A drop in domestic oil supply as little as a few percent, and an ever increasing demand would result in higher prices and overall market instability. [What happens when investors lose confidence in the markets? In a nutshell,,,, Look back a few weeks (literally) to the sub-prime mortgage bubble burst. Banks gave out sub-prime house loans to people with shitty credit ratings (thus sparked a strong housing market for the past few years because ‘everyone was approved’ for hundreds of thousands of $’s) and in turn, sold their sub-prime ‘loans’ on an open market to organizations who grouped the loans into hedge funds. When investors realized that there was a low probability of seeing a return, the market flooded and Jim Cramer projected that about 7 million homes would go into foreclosure. What was Bush’s response? Go to the Federal Bank and press Print! ‘Borrow’ billions of dollars from the central banks at interest and increase the supply of money into the system. This increased supply of money results in a higher price on commodities (inflation) and devalues the currency. This coupled with a half percent decrease in interest rates was what Bush called a ‘Soft Landing’. Anyways, a FIAT (paper money) system and without actual gold/silver bullion backing for our currency, the purchasing power of each dollar is lessened. Our dependence on Oil far outweighs the ups and downs of the housing market. Remember seeing the pictures of Germans in WWII going to the store with wheelbarrows full of cash to buy a loaf of bread? Anyways, if our consumption of oil isn’t curbed then the Great Depression of the 1930’s will look like a holiday, as unemployment and civil unrest will be at an all time high.] “The coming oil shocks won't be so short-lived. They represent the onset of a new, permanent condition. Once the decline gets under way, production will drop (conservatively) by 3% per year, every year. War, terrorism, extreme weather and other "above ground" geopolitical factors will likely push the effective decline rate past 10% per year, thus cutting the total supply by 50% in 7 years.”Notice the recent Environmentalist Movement? Sure Global Warming is an issue, but what is being asked of us is to curb our consumption patterns now so that we become less dependant on oil when we get to the downward slope post-peak, and the ‘shock’ won’t be as severe. Its far easier to get people to willingly curb their consumption patterns instead of forcing it upon them. We are not being asked to save our environment in the same sense as what the Hippies preached, we are being asked to save our economy and way of life. If we offset the decline of supply by voluntarily lowering the demand, then Rome will be able to stand (hopefully) long enough for some real solutions to come to fruition. Until then, we need to invade countries and take the resources that we require because we have more bombs… “It's not just transportation and agriculture that are entirely dependent on abundant, cheap oil. Modern medicine, water distribution, and national defense are each entirely powered by oil and petroleum derived chemicals.”As an aside: Lets take it one step further and look at the ‘saving grace’ that is E85 (85% Ethanol, 15% Gas) that will soon power our modes of transport. Because E85 is made out of Corn, it is something that is renewable in the sense that we can grow it ourselves, but it takes vast amounts of land, water, and time as well as being very inefficient to process. (Squeeze an ear of corn and the amount of juice you get is pretty telling.) Likewise, this cash crop will be widespread and will overtake fields that once produced other commodities, thus lowering the supply of *insert fav veggie here* and driving up the price of *Veggie*. Also, products that use corn syrup, corn starch and corn itself will also rise (like every can of soda for example). But the West formulated a great idea by way of agencies like the IMF and World Bank. These agencies hand out loans to developing countries and as a condition, they stipulate how the funds are to be spent. Many countries in Africa have started to grow corn (go figure) as a condition of the loan. “The effects of even a small drop in production can be devastating. For instance, during the 1970s oil shocks, shortfalls in production as small as 5% caused the price of oil to nearly quadruple. The same thing happened in California a few years ago with natural gas: a production drop of less than 5% caused prices to skyrocket by 400%.”Yeah, as it stands, we need the Texas Tea, the Black Gold, etc… Ok, so that’s the problem we face today, now where’s the solution? In 2000, a neo-con manifesto was written called the PNAC (Project for the New American Century) and it was co-authored by Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush, Paul Wolfowitz et al. They signed a ‘Statement of Principles of the PNAC’ along with many of the other current members of Bush’s “war cabinet.” It’s a pretty telling 90 page document that focuses on the vision of the US in the new century. This furthers Bush Sr’s New World Order plans immensely. I’ll point out a few excerpts… The document’s mission statement reads, ““We need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future,”.Groovy right? “The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.”& “Even should Saddam pass from the scene,” the plan says U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will remain, despite domestic opposition in the Gulf states to the permanent stationing of U.S. troops. Iran, it says, “may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests as Iraq has.”60% of the world’s known oil fields are in the Middle East. The Afghan war was merely a foothold in the region and a warmup for Iraq. The current Iraqi War is not meant to be won, rather it is meant to be sustained so long as there is oil in the ground. There is no exit strategy because we don’t want to leave. Notice the recent talk about Iran going nuclear? They aren’t ‘playing ball’ with our oil needs either. Cheney in 1994, FTL… (1 min long) Moving on... A “core mission” for the transformed U.S. military is to “fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars,” according to the PNAC. The strategic “transformation” of the U.S. military into an imperialistic force of global domination would require a huge increase in defense spending to “a minimum level of 3.5 to 3.8 percent of gross domestic product, adding $15 billion to $20 billion to total defense spending annually,” the PNAC plan said. Its easy to add funds to military spending when it is done under the context of “Protecting against Terrorist attacks”. Our culture of fear pretty much allows the government to do what is chooses,,, so long as we feel safe at night. In order to accomplish these objectives, they need a catalyst…. (the most infamous quote from the document.) “The process of transformation… is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor.”And guess what, a year later there was a “New Pearl Harbor”,,, what are the odds? 9/11 facilitated the realization of the goals set out in their plan. It was merely a chance occurrence, right? Don't forget about Larry Silverstein. He bacame the lease holder of the WTC a few months prior to 9/11 for like a rediculously low price of somewhere between $25 million to a few hundred million. It would have cost $1 billion + to get rid of the asbestos that lined every steel beam in the towers. He specifically reworked the insurance policy to cover this type of 'act of terrorism' and was ensured for $3.5 billion. But because 2 planes hit, he claimed that there were in fact 2 acts of terrorism and thus his plan payed out $7 billion. He cashed in. So because Oil is a limited resource and we are dependant on it, we need to aquire it by any means necessary and prevent competators like China from attaining it. The PNAC and other plans have been drawn up as a way to engage in a resource war. 9/11 was merely a pretext to 'doing what we need to do'. Was there government involvement? Looking at the bigger picture,I think so. [9/11 wasn’t the only shady ‘terrorist’ event. Recall the 7/7 bus and train bombings in London? Well a consultation firm was putting on exercises to simulate bus/train terrorist attacks on the very same busses and trains that got bombed that day. These guys are a lot sloppier, but the dude in this vid -[link]- went on live news twice that day and told the audience just that. A separate insurance adjustment firm calculated the odds of the very busses and trains that they were practicing on to be the very targets of an attack and came up with a figure of 1 in 1with 54 0’s. Much like Bush after 9/11, PM Blair’s approval rating skyrocketed and thus that was a stepping stone as to Britain’s increased involvement. (They also depend on oil.) So Fox News tells you that terrorists hate the US but forget to mention Britain too?] But hey, we can always VOTE to elect new representation though…. Anyone heard of a secret society by the name of Skull and Bones? Its housed on the Yale University campus and it recruits bright and wealthy students of a high pedigree. They swear allegiances to one another, placing the value of this oath above God or Country. Its some hairy stuff. 15 Yale seniors are ‘tapped in’ every year and there are between 700 – 800 living members. Why is this important and what does it have to do with how I vote and 9/11? Good question. GW Bush was accepted into this secret society in 1968. And go figure, John Kerry (9th cousin, twice removed from GW Bush) also attended Yale and also joined the Skull and Bones 2 years before in 1966. 2 out of a living 800 Bonesman ran against each other for the Presidency of the United States. Freedom of Speech is a good thing, but Middle Eastern countries like Afghanistan and Iraq are in no position to threaten Freedom of Speech over here. The only threat to Constitutionally guaranteed rights would be,,, the US Government. After 9/11 the US Patriot Act came into play and it essentially expands law enforcement powers and paves the road for a police state. The Patriot Act is pretty Orwellian. Law enforcement has the ability to…
So before you go posting in this forum that 9/11 was a conspiracy, start thinking about those of us who were affected by 9/11 and/or made a decision to help protect your freedom of speech. How about instead of posting some offensive bullshit again, you get off your ass and go kick the crap out of those fuckheads who made the video and/or consider wearing a uniform to protect your own rights along with protecting your country. Not show probable cause, nor even reasonable grounds to believe that the person whose records it seeks is engaged in criminal activity. (Eliminating probable cause and reasonable suspicion, nice.) Need not have any suspicion that the subject of the investigation is a foreign power or agent of a foreign power. (They can spy on US citizens.) Investigate United States persons based in part on their exercise of First Amendment rights, and it can investigate non-United States persons based solely on their exercise of First Amendment rights. Those who are the subjects of the surveillance are never notified that their privacy has been compromised. (If I go to an anti-war rally and exercise my Freedom of Speech, that could be cause enough to be secretly investigated.)The Patriot Act also allows for the… Expansion of the definition of terrorism whereby individuals engaged in civil disobedience could risk losing their citizenship, and their organization could be subject to wiretapping and asset seizure; Establishment of a national ID card, disguised as national standardization of drivers licensing. Establishment of a national electronic database for birth and death certificates, with permanent identifying information assigned to each individual, such as a national ID number. (Didn’t the Nazis tattoo prisoners in their concentration camps with a number?) Biometric identifiers - including fingerprints, face recognition software photos, iris or retinal scans, and other private physical identification - for travel documents which would be used for security in domestic air travel as well as overseas travel. (New passports that are issued already have an RFID (Radio Frequency ID) chip in them. They have developed a pill-sized RFID implant that gets placed under your skin and allows the government to follow your every move. CNN reported about a Florida family that has volunteered to be the first recipients of this because they ‘wanted to feel safe’ from the terrorists.) Enhanced "material support" provisions, allowing guilt by association with a group targeted by the administration; removal of habeas corpus relief for those detained under repressive immigration measures. Allowing the death penalty in terrorism cases (with "terrorism" as defined in the USA PATRIOT Act); [The Patriot Act’s definition of “Terrorism”; USA PATRIOT Act: "activities that (A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the U.S. or of any state, that (B) appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping, and (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S."] You can be deemed a ‘Terrorist’ if you get into a barfight??? Americans could be extradited, searched and wiretapped at the behest of foreign nations, whether or not treaties allow it. Lawful immigrants would be stripped of the right to a fair deportation hearing and federal courts would not be allowed to review immigration rulings. Are these the rights that Americans are giving their lives to protect? It helps when 6 corporations control every major mainstream news outlet in the US. We got fooled. There is a difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact. It just seems like as time passes (9/11 isn't even 6 years old) more and more evidence comes to the forefront that suggests government involvement. The US government has taken part in many 'false flag' operations through the years. Hitler secretly burnt down the Reichstag and was granted dictatorial powers. "Big Lie" is a propaganda technique in which the lie is so complex that the public will either dismiss it as impossible or choose not to believe it out of willful ignorance. Negative Zero. Not "Spoof video." Its "Spoof 9/11". As in the tragedy that rocked US, and notably New York/Long Island, was a spoof, hence the shitstorm. And Goose, you're treading a fine line there. Its not naive to think that 3500 civilians killed isn't justified. 3500 American civilians. Anyone who follows Kissinger politics will always put his country's needs and actions over those of other countries. So no, 9/11 was not justified. Edit: Goose, Loose Change is a hoax. Since we're talking about far fetched theories, lets take a maddox quote that would be fitting for those "Reichstag" thinkers:"Whatever reason it may be that the government supposedly orchestrated this conspiracy, it must have been worth it to them to cause so much suffering and loss of life. So if there's any truth to this, then you can bet your ass that the government wouldn't let a couple of pecker-neck chumps with a couple of Macs and too much time on their hands jeopardise their entire operation by letting this stupid video float around on the Internet. I can picture you morons emailing me now: "BUT MADOX, MAYBE DYLAN POSTED IT ON THE INTERNET BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT HAD A CHANCE TO REMOVE IT LOL." Yeah, too bad this rebuttal is inconsistent with the premise of Dylan's shit-festival of a movie: that the WTC was brought down "in a carefully planned and controlled demolition ... and it was pulled off with military precision." Now we're expected to believe that the same government that was able to commit the largest terrorist operation in history--with military precision no less--is suddenly too incompetent to sniff out and shut down a little website set up by some college losers within days, if not minutes of its creation? The US government has the capability to monitor every electronic communication made anywhere in the world, yet we're expected to believe that they wouldn't be able to nix this kid long before his video ever became popular? no one else has really brought this up. theres absolutely no information about the actual terrorist that did the attack. i doubt that many people know that the 1993 bomber is cousin to one of the WTC attackers. i just thought i'd bring it up that no information about the terrorist is provided. also the lead creator behind the attack was actually an american KSM i think was his name. so does anyone know anything about any of this? |
