This Tutorial will give you much detail's on how to set mani admin up and how to use it on a server.

Mani Admin Client Setup
Okay I’m making this thread over MANI ADMIN CLIENT because when a server owner/op makes someone admin they really don’t know what to do or how to do it so I’m going to give a detailed view and idea on how use mani admin on a CS:S server.

There are 4 parts to mani admin

1. console
2. administrator commands
3. administrator key
4. administrator menu

Mani Client Setup: Enable Console
If you are lucky and trusted enough to get admin on a server the first thing you must do is go into your menu you can do this by pressing the key Esc (escape) this will give you a screen that says Resume Game, Disconnect, Player List etc.

When you have gotten this far you want to find Options! When you find this click on it! It will bring up a screen where you can change your name, your spray, your keyboard, mouse etc. you want to click on Keyboard






Now after you have done this you are only a few steps away from being done. Once you have clicked on Keyboard it will bring up a screen where you can change your movements, combat, commands etc. at the bottom it say Advance… click on this






Once you have click on Advance… it will bring up a little screen that asks for 2 things

1. Fast weapon switch
2. Enable developer console (~)






You want to click on #2 when that has a check mark in it then you are 1 step from finished part 1. After you have done all of this exit out of everything and Resume Game! Once you have resumed click on ~ it’s under the key Esc after clicking on this it will bring up your console.






Once you see your console you are finished with part 1.

Part 2: administrator commands
You have just activated your CS:S console this is were you can see everything that is said, typed and about the server. This is where you do you administrator commands; there are over 50 commands that can be done on your console. Commands are ranked on admin level’s there are several level’s of admin L1, L2, L3, Lead Admin, God and OP to do a command it depends on what level you are, the basic commands that you will need to know are (ma) commands ma stands for (mani admin) I’m sure you have seen an admin use his or her powers like slap, kick, ban, etc. all of these can be don’t from your console

Some examples are

ma_slap “name”

This command will slap whoever’s name you put, it will slap them with 0 HP now if you want to slap a player to a pacific HP then you would type

ma_slap “name” 25

This will slap the player of your cushion with 25 HP

There are many many commands you can type in console I don’t really want to type them out but here is the website for them.

It gives to all the info on commands and how do use them in console.

Now a more experience admin or level of mani is to do several commands at once from console by using ; this will let you go 2 or more commands at the same time. Like giving money and HP to do this you would type

ma_givrcash #ct 16000; ma_givrhealth #ct 30

Now there is another way to do commands like this using your talk key (Y)
To do a command you would type @command

Example: @slap “name” 5 or @ban “name” 30 (Note: 30 would be minutes… 0 = permanent ban)

A lot of admins use the @ symbole to do there commands I personally use console there are 3 very good reasons why the console is better then using @

1. If there is a TKer or hacker and you need to ban him fast you are typing fast or acting fast and when using @ you can miss type or fuck up example on a fuck up @ ban “name” 0
What is typed WILL NOT do a command it will say ban “name” 0 in admin talk

Example: (admin) Kalibur: ban “name” 0

As you would see if you made this little mistake you would not only NOT ban the person you wanted to you would in fact let them know what you were trying and going to do.

(NOTE: mani admin client is really not that hard to learn and remember you just have to know you basics and know how to use everything as you do more commands you will become a better admin)

2. Is that if you are typing a command and you need to say something (vie mic or type) you have to backspace everything you just typed now using console if you need to do something all you have to do is press Esc and this will take you straight back to in game and everything you typed in console will still be there when you go back

3.With the console you can do something like a 'status' command to get a list of players up in your console while you prepare a command -- this way you can make sure partial name matches are legit instead of doing them from memory (or you can actually copy and paste using the mouse from the console, etc)

This pretty much rapes up Part 2 most of you info on Part 2 is going to be on the like I provided above.


Part 3: administrator key
This part is basically going into console and getting your mani menu to work, to do this go into console and type bind “key” admin






This will enable your mani admin menu, that’s all there is to do in part 3.

Part 4: administrator menu
After you have enabled you mani menu you will be able to do commands from in game and not have to use console or @ once you have a key set to your menu then press your set key! This will bring up a little screen on your left.






Depending on what level admin you are is on what numbers you have the basic admins L1, L2 and L3 have maybe 3 or 5

As you will see in the screen shot mani admin client let you have many things you can pick from… #1 and #2 are the ones you will use the most #1 is Player Management this is where you will be able to slay, kick, ban, swap players etc. #1 is what you are going to use to help the server by ether slaying or kicking people who brake the rules or by helping teams by using the swap a player to the opposite team. (Note: everything that can be done from the mani menu can also be done from the console, this is a great feature mani admin client offers)






#2 is your Fun Player Management; this is where you will be able to abuse people who break rules. Example: a player keeps camping in CT spawn you can slap, freeze, blind drug etc. this is where you want to prove a point like don’t camp or break rules.

After you have completed all your steps and know how to use your console and mani menu then you are on your way to becoming a great admin that know how to use mani admin
