He didn't upgrade emmory he's stating the memory his video card has. Night i thought about getting that one but i'd prefer the 7800OC gs. I will probably just wait untill i convert to pci x16 though.

Id rather pay a nice hefty amount of 150 bucks that it was then paying an extra 100 to 150 for a card that isnt that much better. No, I meant 512 MB of video Ram. I have 768 of PC RAM to go with it, making it over 1 GB. Not only that I have a 160 GB hard drive ftw. My PC is going to be beast after Christmas once I buy a PCI Express motherboard for it. Its going to suck ass connecting everything, but hell, Ill just leave that to my little bro and keep the programming for me. Why buy a new pc when you can beef the shit out of your old one? Other then that, the card ran real smoothly today and had an average of 91.1 fps. That is 61.1 more higher then my previous card, and this was on highest setting with HDR and everything. The other one - I was running it on low.
Go out and get that 150 dollar bargin, its well worth it, Im telling you.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. i dont want to be ass BUT
DIRECT X 10 CARDS ARE UNDER 4 MONTHS AWAY.
so while u got that nice dx9 ill b pwning u in dx10.
if i was you, id return it and hold out for 4 more months and get dx10 for vista, and gaming, and hl2 episode 2. otherwise you'll be craving the better graphics and capabilites (expecially vista) than just having some more fps.

Nice man... I still prefer my dual 6800 GT SLI OC's but whatever floats your boat.
CS:S, BF2, HL2 ... pfft when they going to make a real game with some demanding requirements... everything runs like greased hogs fat.
This DX10 option intrigues me however... time for an upgrade lol... it's been 6 months.

Congrats Night!
I was reading the posts here and had to throw my two cents in. Yes dx10 will be out soon but will only be available through Vista. There will be no dx10 add-on for windows XP (at least at press time). Then you have to wait till dx10 games are available. BUT back to Vista..its gonna be hella expensive on its own. I dont have the exact prices in front of me but I believe the Ulta version will be like $399.00. Most likely will be buggy as shit for the first yr at least until all the friggin patches, security holes, and driver conflicts are ironed out. THEN on top of it all we are gonna need bigger power supplies to run these new dx10 cards especially if we go with SLI or Crossfire.Which means more heat and that means better cooling solutions.I already had to upgrade my PC power & Cooling 510 SLI to a 750 of the same brand for the 7900GTX in SLI along with liquid cooling.
I admit I'm excited about the way the past yr has gone as far as computer hardware and look forward to seeing what quad core processors along with dual core GPUs will look like in benchmarks and gaming.
Night..you could spend the rest of your life waiting for the next best thing. Theres always something new coming out and no matter how much you try to beat the obsolecense(sp?) it cant be done unless you have the $$$. Yes I just built what was 6mos ago the best of the best. But already its considered out of date except for my 7900s.
I guess my point in all this rambling is that if what you have plays what you play with acceptable FPS and eye candy then you have made a good investment. You sure the hell have no problem kicking the shit out of anyone that is unfortunate enough to end up in your cross hairs!!!
Enjoy your new card it should hold you for awhile
