Guys help... I've grown tired of one night stands and drunken bar fucks. It's just tiring... I'm 23, soon to be 24 and well, I'm getting to the point where I think I might want a real girlfriend. A relationship if you will. So I'm going to advertise. Basically I'm going to post a LFG blog, something that outlines what I'm looking for in a girl and then let the internets find one for me. Because wandering around drunk and repeating myself sucks. Now here's my dilemna... well let's start with my actual post. What you're reading: This is basically a culmination of my feelings/desires in regards to finding a girlfriend. Basically it is an attempt to cover most of the initial questions and concerns that could arise upon meeting someone of potential interest. What I'm looking for: A female. Here's a few of the characteristics I'd like said female to have. Down to earth, laid back, loyal, trustworthy, honest, affectionate, confident (attractive) but humble, secure, outgoing, approachable, goal oriented, kind, considerate, caring and a good conversationalist. (if all you have to talk about is the weather and TV you won't last long) What I have to offer: All of the above said qualities. One intangible I can offer but don't neccesarily require of the other is intelligence. I don't need to go into detail but take my word for it... I'm smart. If you're intimidated by intelligent people or have trouble w/ abstract concepts or philisophical debate, then I might not be the right person for YOU. But I don't require you to reciprocate this... it's asking a little much I feel. I also have plenty of weed and a penis of average length and girth attached to an insatiable libido. (photos/references available upon request) And for the hood rats, I have a car, a job, a place to stay and no convictions. Why am I looking for a girlfriend: Because I'm an idiot. No seriously, I'm 23 and basically I've had my fill of one night stands and meeting drunk chicks at bars. I'm looking for a relationship with a little more substance. Does that mean we're going to move in together and i'm going to buy you a chocolate lab? Probably not. Does that mean I want to have dinner every Wednesday night at your parents? Definitely not. Does that mean I want to talk to you every few hours and call you pookie and shmuggle face? NO. All it means is that I would like to meet a girl who wants to meet a guy and where neither of us have a much in the way of preconceived notions as to what a relationship should be. What I want out of a relationship: Sex, not gonna lie... that's a pretty much a staple... If you aren't interested in a sexual relationship, 1st) what the hell is wrong with you? and 2nd) I'm not the guy for you. Companionship... I know, gay right? My friends tell me to just get a dog, move back home and use my rent money to buy a few expensive escorts a month... and while this works wonderfully on paper... seems to be cheating... but hey at least I have a plan B. Uh what else, what else do I want, oh, most important thing. I want a girl who puts my interests above hers and allows me to reciprocate the favor. In other words, a girl who cares more about me than she does herself and in return I will care more about her than I do myself. Basically allowing us to progress exclusively through mutual interests... seems like a decent alternative to the typical give and take routine most relationships endure. (eg. you're in school, I help you study. I travel for work, you make sure I look nice and bring enough underwear lol, you want a job promotion, I help you accentuate your contributions, determine your fair market value and deliver an effective proposal, I want to start my own business, you help network and find investors, customers, partners, employees, etc.) Basically help each other do whatever it is we're trying to do (this is where being goal oriented becomes important). If a great friendship w/ a dose of physical attraction is all that comes from this I'm cool with that. I have zero expectations, I'm just trying to gain some momentum in the right direction. If you'd like to get together and talk I'd be happy to, weekday nights, usually right after work are best. Weekends are usually tough. |

Ya that's the gist of what's going up. I'm going to go home smoke a few bowls and punch it up. (punchlines) With enough humor to make it light and easy to read but not too much where it comes across as not serious. Um... here's the thing... like... when you're a mercenary, picking up chicks at will... you're going to have alot of fun. Your going to fuck a lot of girls and life will be one big party, and it'll be awesome. But one day, you'll ask yourself questions like... am I ever gonna have children? How much money do I need to retire? Where am I going to be in 5, 10, 20 years? Also here's the thing... I'm 23, going on 24. While I have no desire to change what has worked for me thus far. I know that what has worked for me thus far, won't get me into my 5, 10 and 20 year relationship goals. So I need to begin a transition into a more relationship oriented persona... Keep in mind, it's a transition, which comes with a transition period. This document serves as the beginning of that transition... a formal declaration if you will of change of state. Obviously, much needs to be done in order to execute on the plan. Prospects need to be had, met with, evaluated, followed up with, etc. There's also a huge chance that this document does nothing. That despite my candor and openeness (ideals girls claim they look for) that it will yield no results. And that out of the millions of, of age females, not a single one of them responds to the stimuli they clamor for. (honesty, openness, genuineness, humor, etc.) Seriously. That even when handed an opportunity to take advantage of a situation they claim to wish would present itself to them... they ignore it, in lieu of the guys rockin the Ed Hardy t shirts 2 sizes to small, getting shitfaced to build of the confidence to say hello, telling them any bullshit they think they want to hear just to potentially bring them home, fuck them and never call them again... P.S. I think a Who I'm Not section is warranted with a nice funny description of your typical 20 something year old male. lol I got some good lines for that. |

I see commercials all the time for e-Harmony and shit like that. It takes FOREVER to fill out the application for what you are like and what you are looking for, but honestly, it's worth it, especially since you know how you are and what you are looking for. I personally feel like it would give you more results than a blog. and plus it goes by how close someone is near you and how much you connect and shit like that, so try it. otherwise, I too like the girl you are looking for, if you find her, I want pictures and a convo with her, because she'd be perfect. |

I hate the websites cause it's too systematic. What I'm going to do is drive enough local female traffic to my blog that they can come and go at their leisure as they please, basically use it as a personal ad. I'm getting business cards made that will link there. And it will serve as more than just a spot to try and bring chicks it'll be a place to play out my idea of being a professional writer. Ideally trying to find topics that work. This will just be a subsection if you will that I will direct all females I come across to. Just to see if it appeals to any of them I might otherwise not get the time or opportunity to talk to. Think of it like a filter, if I meet 20 girls a week, send them all there and 3 or 4 come back as potentials... then I just saved myself countless hours of failed dates, etc. It's a way for me to screen the girls I'm already interested in. Hot chick at a bar, strike up 3 minute small talk, close with a card. Bam. I'm done, move on to the next. And then it's up to me to be captivating enough in my written word to let my writing close for me... It's all an experiment. |
