Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

PC/Xbox 360 Some games are mature because they have swearing. Others are mature because they are truly frightening and nasty. Condemned: Criminal Origins clearly falls into the latter category. You are placed in to the shoes of FBI Agent Ethan Thomas, but don't mistake this for Law & Order. This is about the nastiest, grittiest, scariest areas of a city that you can imagine. The various levels include a subway station, library, department store, abandoned school, abandoned farm, and a large estate complete with a terrifying basement. It's rare these days for a game to compel the player to finish the game so that they can experience the whole story. Sure, there are good games that you want to play to the end, but usually it's because it's fun to play, but it's easy to lose interest in the main character. Condemned is an exception. It maintains an interesting story while providing excellent gameplay. This game plays flawlessly. First, it does something that all games strive for. It immerses you in itself and doesn't let go till you pause to take a breather. You feel like you're there, and you feel like you're the one fighting for your life in the dark rooms and horrific locations. I appreciate that Monolith has done the right thing and actually modeled the player in the game even while in the first person view. It breaks immersion greatly when you look down and you don't see your own body. Instead, you move over walls and under chains while keeping in the first person view properly. You see what you would see if you were to really duck under a chain instead of just lowering the camera down, then raising it back up on the other side. Little things like this go a long way into making you believe you're actually there. I have played many 'scary' games dating back to Resident Evil. And even before that, Sanitarium for the PC. This is the only game that's held my tension from the second I picked up the controller until the credits rolled at the end. Now with that said, there are a few minor flaws. The combat system is a bit repetitive, your only options are to block and attack. Luckily, the many creative weapons do a fairly good job at keeping it fresh. (The option to slam your opponents head into the ground or snap his neck like a twig help too). When you were in elementary school, didn't you at least once fantasize about what hitting someone with that gigantic razor on the paper cutter would do? Of course you did. Well in Condemned you can actually live out that fantasy. The fire poker, axe, meat cleaver, tazer, and sledgehammer are other notable weapons in your arsenal. Assuming that you enjoy a good scare, and can handle the mental exhaustion of creeping around fearing for your life for hours on end, do yourself a favor and pick this gem up. The price has gone way down since its initial debut with the 360, now a mere $20. Edited Sat Jan 05 2008, 03:28PM |

I played the demo on the PC, it was freaky. Cracked out hobos under an abandoned building, wielding pieces of wood with nails in them? Oh god. Was fun too. Maybe I will pick it up for xbox, or DL it for comp. Probably the latter. |

Okay, the Fire Axe is my favorite weapon. I only played it once, had many weapons. From a electric conduit to a sledge hammer. Sadly, I have no Xbox. So I'm not going to buy it. |
