| Just Played RA3 Beta, Disappointment or Success? | ||

Well, I got to go to my bro's dorm today and he just got the beta, so I thought I should see how good it is. What I found was: It's similar to C&C3, way too similar. It's basically C&C3 with different factions to play with, same engine, same playing/building system. Now, if you loved C&C3 which I personally thought was a big disappointment, you'll probably love RA3. But, if you're like me, you'll hate it because it's pretty much nothing like RA2. In the beta, you can choose 1 of 3 factions: Allies, Soviets, and Rising Sun. Allies are pretty similar to the GDI in C&C3, they have big mech's and are high tech. The Soviets aren't as similar to the NOD, because they have more of a tankish side to them like in RA2, which is a plus. And Rising Sun (which is Japan, not China), is similar to the Scrin, they're unique in they're buildings and units from the others. The Rising Sun aren't half as good as Yuri was in RA2 imo. Now, I know it's the beta, but it doesn't seem promising to me. EA has ruined C&C series imho, every game since they took over Westwood Studios, they're games have been nothing like the C&C series I loved. EA is once again a failure. Just played last night... and i completely agree 100% I cried myself to sleep after playing. Its C&C3 and nothing like the Red Alert series. They have allies and soviets... but in RA2 there were different sides to play on. Allies had U.S., France, and others, while Soviets had Japan, Russia, Germany... all that cool shit. Im not buying it.... because the main mechanics and shit are in the game so beta or not, it will pretty much be just like this in release. Its a huge disappointment. Me and my friend installed RA2 after we checked this POS out, and had some fun still. RA2 will always be the best. FUCK YOU EA! YOU BLOW MY NUTS! EDIT: I would just like to make one more comment. EA did make the naval part of this game really really cool. You can build your base on water or land. Really awsome if you ask me. Much better then RA2. EA fucks up ever corperation that's making games, Westwood had the best RTS BYFAR and one of the the best third person games (Nox) Westwood mastered the rts, Dune/RA/C&C, but then here's fucking EA Oh hi guies we r to by u doodz nd mk u btttr! Then they close them down, fucking faggots. |

Anyone remember Grand Cannon Rush? LOL... (in case you dont, build your base with grand cannons and power plants and extend al the way to the other base. |
