Purpose - to extend the contract on the surf server for 6 additional months from October 5th 2008 to April 5th 2009
Amount needed - $102
Payment Due Date - October 4th 2008
How to donate:
via Paypal
admin@searchenginespecialists .net
via MAIL (cash, check or money order)
STAGE 1
Start date for Stage 1 September 4th.
End date for Stage 1 September 18th.
Description of Stage 1: For the next two weeks we will gather the list of volunteers willing to donate to this fundraiser in this thread. State your intention to donate to this fundraiser before September 18th. If there is a limit on the amount you can donate please put that in your post. Any & All donations will be accepted & are appreciated greatly!!!
THIS IS A SERIOUS COMMITMENT!!! DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE OF YOUR ABILITY TO DONATE BY OCTOBER 4TH PER THE PAYMENT METHODS LISTED ABOVE AS THE AMOUNT EVERYONE WILL BE PAYING ISDEPENDENT ON THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS!!! If you are in anyway unsure, do not volunteer. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact myself, Kremit, KD or Nostie and we will help you.
Stage 2
Start date for Stage 2 September 19th
End date for Stage 2 October 4th
Descripton of Stage 2: The total amount needed ($102) will be divided by the number of volunteers from Stage 1. Each volunteer will then have TWO WEEKS to submit payment via one of the methods listed above. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THE END OF STAGE 1 BEFORE SUBMITTING PAYMENT AND THE PAYMENT AMOUNT IS POSTED.
Once you have submitted payment please post here letting us know the method you have used.

P.S. To admin, in order to run this effectively I will need admin to this forum. I posted this in this forum as many members of F7L5 may wish to donate and otherwise would not be able to post in the FT Community clan.
P.S.S. Nostie & Kremit, our donations have already been factored in to the total amount needed. There is no need to post here volunteering. Thank you for your continued contributions.

One thing I want to say, this is a very crude first run at this and it comes across a bit like I'm yelling.
That's not my intention, but the main thing I want to get across is that this is serious & that you shouldn't volunteer unless you're absolutely certain you can follow through.
We'll be working out the "this comes across like NoSKill is going to beat me with a rod if I don't do this right" feel to it. I promise.

OKAY, I got my check in the bank, put 25$ in my budget for FTS, and I tried to paypal it to Kremit but it's refusing my credit card for whatever reason. So I need to get that fixed.

our server is active, you just don't get on enough to see people playing, or get people to play, if you join it they will come, specially from 2-10pm eastern time
so if the server isn't active its members fault for not playing.
if i can get people to join at fucking 5am in the morning, then afternoons should be cakewalk.

KD - $20
Phate - $50... (no one should have to pay this much)
But basically that's 3 people. $102 / 3 is $34 a piece.
If we get 1 more volunteer it'll be $25.50 and so on.
So basically we need more volunteers, the more volunteers we get the less it'll be.
But the more stupid people we get posting in this thread without volunteering... the more of a pain in the ass it'll be and the more likely I'll be to accidentally delete a forum account... not that that's likelyI'm just saying... accidents happen to people who don't take serious things seriously.

I just think no matter what, surf has always lived, with no issues about money. Therefor I don't see a necessity for this. Especially since Darknarf just made a thread saying funds won't be an issue, I think this thread should either be closed or deleted

A system designed to distribute the financial burden evenly among the people who wish to contribute. This is not just for this server either, this will be used for all future fundraising needs. Get used to it.
To expect one person or a few people to continuously pay for things is 1) bullshit 2) unfair & 3) a poor showing on the rest of the people who could contribute but choose not to.
This thread will continue to run until the money is raised.
However if Darknarf chooses to he can throw his name into the list of volunteers to raise the remaining $102 needed.
Which would bring us to 4 total.

So, first week of school is over. I've bought most my art supplies (studio art minor) and my books. I've got my parking permit and my booze. This only cost me somewhere near $500, so I've done my budgeting.
I can donate, but nothing over $30
so there is no need for narf to donate money, since with us 5 people, surf is covered for 5-6 months, how ever long it is.
