Accounts, Ops, Resignations, etc.

As many of you know, a lot of people have been resigning/quitting lately. I know this is a kind of hard time for FT. I really do regret doing this, but I'm bad at making speeches and such. To cut to the chase, Nostie and I have to give up our positions as OPs.

Our reasoning is actually very simple. I've been beginning to lose interest in the game, let alone the clan. I really like everyone here, but coming on and admining/opping/adding new maps has just felt like it's become a chore to me. I really feel the server needs someone more dedicated than that.

I can't explain Nostie's reasoning as well as he can, but I'll try. To sum it all up shortly; he is quitting CSS for WoW. He's recently joined a raiding guild, and decided it is more important then the surf server. Don't be angry at me please, take it out on him.


I know Rusty should be staying, but if he was to have his own reasoning for leaving, it would be a good time to be out with it.


To replace Nostie and I (and Rusty if he decides), we will be taking applications. In order to apply for an OP position, you will have to type a four paragraph submission on why you think you would be good and what you've gained from FT and the current OPs. I know this seems kind of iffy, but we've all decided that this is the best, and organized way to decide.

Now, we are short on time, for I am giving my account to a friend. By Wednesday, I will ask him to change the password and not tell me it. My admin will be revoked by then, so don't worry about him abusing. Because of this, we are requiring all the submissions to be completed at the end of the day today. If you can't write 4 paragraphs, that's fine. You can shorten it a little, just try to do as much as you can.

We will each read them over and decide on who we feel is most fit for the position. There will still be 3 OPs, not 2 or 1.

I sincerely apologize for all of this, and breaking the news so suddenly. Nostie, Rusty, I, and some others have been discussing it and decided not to leak any extra information until now. We didn't want any rumours or anything of the sort floating around like has happened before.


Once again, I'm really sorry, and I really like all of you guys. I'll still play once in a while, but not very often. I'm very very sorry.



You can just post the submissions in this thread. If you don't want someone else to see your submission, just PM it to me, that is fine as well.
