Forgive my short memory if this is a mistake, but have we discussed the topic of clan members that place the FT tag at the end of his or her handle? It may seem trivial but does anyone else see a problem with this? I see no reason to make this personal. Let's keep things civil! I'm interested in a rational discussion--doesn't it seem disloyal to show up and play on FT servers and feign to show clan allegiance on a constituent FT server by applying our tag as a postfix? I feel that if you play on FT servers and want the ambiguous social entitlements that go with being a community clan member then you should make the modest effort to show clan unity by having a uniform tag... at the beginning of your name! Ugh... I hate to throw this in too, but why do FTC admins throw the 'FTA' tag on? It seems to be widely understood that our clan tags should not have anything to do with admin status. Again, I'm not trying to single anyone out here or make this personal but these two things annoy me... a lot!

Yea I was at one point wearing it after another tag because both clans had tags at the front, I just switch them around before i go into the other server. It only takes a second :s | ||

On a second note, it's widely understood that FTA stands for Fish Tank Asshole, not Fish Tank Admin. On a serious serious note, I also beleive that admins should not wear the FTA tag. To me it looks like admins boasting that they are admins. However, they are just like any other clan member, with the extra ability to kick slay and ban. If possible I would like to wear the [FTQ] tag. Would fit me good seeing how it stands for FishTankQueer kthxbai Edited Sat Jan 05 2008, 01:11PM |

I agree, and the same goes for people who don't wear the tag. You're part of the clan, be proud of it, wear it. I also don't like the FTA tag. Those were actually used last like a year and a half ago. Whenever people use those it just looks like they're trying to shove it up all the other members' asses (and not in the Fetus sense). Can't we all just have the same [FT] at the beginning of our handles? |
