I've always believed that the personal income tax is complete bullshit. It's unfair, unbalanced, inefficient and just plain stupid. Nothing in my study of economics or accounting, or my experiences in life has me doubting this idea. I recently found this site and want people to see it and if you like what it says tell people you know so that it can get some support. Write your congressmen and bitch like crazy. I can't honestly say that reading tax documents gets me excited, but I agree that income tax is stupid. Just because I work hard to get my money, doesn't mean some federal shithead should get a part of my salary, just because he's part of the government. | ||

Let me give you an idea of what income tax dollars pay for and then decide if income tax is worth it. Here is where your tax dollars go (just to name a few)… Army – personnel, equipment (tanks, guns, planes), bases etc. Navy - personnel, equipment (ships, guns, planes), bases etc. Air Force - personnel, equipment (guns, planes), bases etc. Coast Guard – personnel, equipment (ships, guns, planes), bases etc FBI CIA NSA NSC DEA ATF Secret Service The Executive Branch of Government (though I think they get paid too much) The Legislative Branch of Government (though I think they get paid too much) The Judicial Branch of Government (though I think they get paid too much) Prisons Courts Judges Lawyers Roads Highways Cops F irefighters Teachers Social Security So, as you can see, these are essential services that are fully (or paritally) funded by tax dollars. Would you rather not have a military? I don't know about you, but I’d rather fall asleep an American and, thanks to the tax-payer-funded U.S military, wake up an American. you were being ignorant because you said that obviously without going to the link and reading any information. If you had just said that you believed the income tax was a better way to do it than using a flat rate sales tax and said why then i would probly say (depending on what makes you say such) that i disagree and you have your opinion and i have mine. Instead of attempting to see something from another side (reading information at the link for instance, or looking into this or other options elsewhere) you decided to just shout out that if we get rid of the income tax we can't pay military personel or fund any of the local government agencies. That is ignorant. Therefor you were ignorant. So yes your ignorant about the subject yet you decided to spew "facts" without looking into anything. I am ignorant on alot of topics so i know it when i see it. I like you fetus but that was an ignorant statement imho. |
