Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

No one will be locking this thread because the discussion is still going on. Also, alex does not win. Its almost like he isnt reading my posts. He sticks to his idea that i only want this feature removed only because of my own personal agenda. I have made it obviously clear that this is not the case. Noskill, how could you assume that this discussion was over with this: Alcosatz wrote ... He completely misunderstood where i was coming from. So it resulted in me writing my last post. It clarified my reasoning for wanting this feature removed. What frustrates me right now is that it seems as though alex is not even reading my post. He created some lame ass reason for why he thinks i want it removed. I clearly stated my reasoning from the beginning. The quote of my reasoning from my very first post: Kirby wrote ... Alex did not use logical thinking because he refused to believe that the quote above was my true reason. |

Wow just typed the longest reply ever only to click "post reply"... fuckin A man... *DISCLAIMER* These views do not represent those of the server owners/operators, the admin team or the FT community at all. These are my personal views and are to be regarded as such. Basically I went through how I, as a professional negotiator, would completely refuse your claim as it doesn't represent the needs/interests of any group larger than 2% of the overall population. While your feedback is appreciated, at this time there is not enough of a detriment prevented or a benefit gained to warrant spending any of the organization's valuable time and energy alleviating a seemingly isolated issue in an overall smooth running and productive operation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Edited Thu Jun 05 2008, 10:33PM |

Alex said... I find it funny how after everything that I have said you still seem to overlook all of it. I acknoledged that this feature stops one way of ghosting MULTIPLE TIMES. One word really discribes your last post: "ragequit." I found flaws in your argument, called you on them. Then this is what you do: You therefore step back, tell me that i have no clue what i am talking about, tell me its over(because there is nothing you can do to defend your point), and "ragequit" the argument. Maybe you should reread peoples posts like 3 times before responding. So as to not forget what they have said. Then the person will not have to restate thier opinion 3 or 4 times. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Let's keep things in context. Kirby wrote ... I find this useless because there are so many other ways people can get around this to ghost. You can ghost in vent, SteamFriends voice chat, Xfire voice chat, or any other voice communication system. This feature of the server is not stopping anything. /\ || || || || || || || First off, allow me to point out that THAT way up there, is the MAIN reason that i term it useless. Personal frustration does does play a role in me wanting this feature removed, BUT it is not the driving force. It feels as if you have neglected to read this paragraph the whole time. I thought I should make it to where you couldn't miss it. Your "main" argument could be boiled down to: Yes, people can ghost with two instances of CS:S running in the same room, but why would they when it's much easier to ghost over vent, Steam Friends, etc. I understand that the anti-ghosting feature of Mani is not going to stop all ghosters. What your main argument refuses to acknowledge is that the anti-ghosting feature of Mani is going to prevent some ghosters. You assert that "this feature of the server is not stopping anything." This is important because this is your fancy, bolded, underlined, ad nauseum... "main argument," and I can go no further in a discussion if you refuse to concede that it is highly likely that the anti-ghosting feature of Mani does actually prevent some players from ghosting. Kirby wrote ... I find it funny how after everything that I have said you still seem to overlook all of it. I acknoledged that this feature stops one way of ghosting MULTIPLE TIMES. By saying "This feature of the server is not stopping anything." Riiiiiiight. You can put your foot in your mouth now. Go on. Kirby wrote ... One word really discribes your last post: "ragequit." I found flaws in your argument, called you on them. Then this is what you do: You therefore step back, tell me that i have no clue what i am talking about, tell me its over(because there is nothing you can do to defend your point), and "ragequit" the argument. You've contradicted yourself and continue to do so, which is the only argument flaw of which I am aware. I'm not sure anyone knows exactly what it is you're arguing. Here is what I gather: You acknowledge, multiple times, that the anti-ghosting feature is there for a reason, but it's a counter-productive reason because it affects a small handful of players, one of which (you) is complaining about how useless this helpful feature is. Oh, and it doesn't stop anything, which completely negates your concession that it does anything worthwhile. I still don't see a reason to turn it off. I also don't see myself "ragequitting" earlier, nor do I see much interest from others concerning your inconvenience. Also, I got a chuckle out of the "ragequit" comment. Thank you. It's ironic that you are raging about how people need to listen to you, and engage in a discussion. At 9 this morning I was content to let my disinterest win, shed a tear for a minor inconvenience to you and an extremely small subset of FTC'ers, and go about my day. The good news is that all of your petulant foot-stomping and flimsy arguments worked. I took another look and there may be a way to except your Steam ID from the anti-ghosting feature. I'm not sure if it works, but I am willing to try. Kirby wrote ... Maybe you should reread peoples posts like 3 times before responding. So as to not forget what they have said. Then the person will not have to restate thier opinion 3 or 4 times. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. People wouldn't need to reread your garbage if you didn't constantly change your position with each new delightful post. Just a bit of advice: doctoring up your argument half-way through the discussion (after I pointed out how flawed it was) and claiming it to be unaltered makes you look foolish. So how about it? Would you like for me to do you a favor and set immunity, or are you going to continue to rage on? EDIT: Also, someone should move this thread to the FTC forum. Edited Fri Jun 06 2008, 01:34AM |

Kirby, Alex is unbeatable in an argument. My advice to you is to roll over and play dead. Also, I'd be interested in seeing what percentage of people are affected by this particular feature of Mani, for shits and giggles of course. I'm actually expecting a rather high number. |

Yes, i would like for you to give me immunity. Thanks in advance. Also, I, in all of my annoyance, looked over the fact that I said that this feature is not stopping anything. That was an incorrect statement. I guess in my eyes it was stopping so very little that I thought it to be nothing, and thats what I wrote. I think that sentence alone was probably one of the main causes of this misunderstanding. So, I apologize and take back my statment about ragequiting, and how you were not reading my posts. You were reading them I was just contradicting myself and you were not able to understand where I was coming from. I completely understand you not wanting to discuss it any futher, without me conceding that point. Edited Fri Jun 06 2008, 02:07AM |

Thanks for the apology, Kirby. I'm sorry as well for how I responded to you last night. The immunity flag is set for you now. Let me know if it works or not. |
