Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Pockyninja wrote ... I would like to start that Hell was made up by people back in the dark ages to scare people into believing what they told them to and to give them more power. Notice that the Jews who are the origin of Christianity do not believe in a hell. Muslims are a part of Christianity they just think that Jesus was a prophet so their belief in Hell springs from Christianity. Budist and Hindus think that you just get reborn in a lesser form if you were a bad person (the evil butterfly bwahahahaha). So you see People can say your going to hell but no religious text really tell people they will until the dark ages. Hell has was around before the dark ages, though you are right it was used to threaten people so others could get more power Also, the Jews do believe in hell, it is called Gehenna. It's essentially the final judgment place of bad people. The bible also talks about hell, in the gospel of Luke. Finallly, Muslims, Jews and Christians all share the same ancestor, Abraham. |

-[link]- link to the direct quote if you don't believe me. That is from the modern movie, I have not seen it, but I have read half the book, and watched the classic series that I own on DVD. Each episode is 30 mins so it lasts much longer than the movie, while giving more details, so that is where I saw the Zebra part of it. |

HAHAHA....that was supposed to clear up what exactly? Not all atheists believe that particular philosophy anyway...and who ever said I was an atheist at all? That post was essentially a waste of my time.

Dane cook is a silly son of a bitch lol. That doesn't really prove much though lol. Also while i am on the side of shankster and other people who seem against religion I am not a athiues. I am a man who truly dose not know what he believes. Ruling out god is just to much because he could be or he could not be to say any different would really be stupid. To say that god exist would also be stupid because I don't have the faith to say that and I have no proof so without faith or proof I am not really a god person. I think that most people are like me though and only pretending they are part of their religion that at the end of the day people are not very confirmed in their believes and that is what makes people question their lives and become tempted so easily. It is amazing the difference that is made by just realizing the reality of your own circumstances. |

I am like pocky...sometimes i think i know the answer to some of the questions posed here and other times i am not sure. I simply do not know what exactly to believe at this point. I am leaning towards agnosticism/atheism somewhat but that is just me. I leave you with further words on the part of George Carlin, you may take them or leave them as you like but I find him to be funny: "If there is a god, then we must say that he is at least incompetent. And I say he because I truly believe that if there is a god then it must be a man because no woman could or would ever fuck things up this badly. In any decently run universe this guy would have been out on his ass a long time ago."

I already clarified the fact that mankind was granted free will. Nevertheless, we dug ourselves into this hole with no way out. I don't understand the fact that you can't believe that God does not exist. They already clarified that there is no Big Bang Theory, and the Evolutionary theory for the most part was completely irrelevant and thrown away by it's inventor (Darwin) who later turned Christian. Yes, nobody knows for sure, but enough analysis of people who have had near death experiences have claimed to have either visioned both heaven and hell. Granted, I don't really think that these people would lie about such a thing since they literally almost died. What about poltergeists? Do you believe in those? Those are manifestations of evil spirits. People have been known to have been possessed. What is your logic behind that? Do you think people turn mental and gain superhuman strength to toss themselves against walls and ceilings, or like the Pennsylvania case that happened about 100 miles away from me, make it rain upside-down? Apart from the planet itself having to have a creator, all of these occurances point exactly to what has happened currently today (Such as exorcisms, those were in the bible as well). As for your faith in His existence, that's for you to decide. Too many miracles happen that are not just coincidences, but the truth itself. We will only know when we die if there is a heaven or hell, or a God. But I stick to my belief that someone is there, watching over us. |

I think this would be best to analyze point by point. wrote ... I already clarified the fact that mankind was granted free will. Lets start here man has free will. This denies that god can directly interfere in the lives of people as far as person to person contact is concerned. So your miricals would seem rather limited to nature only. Also it seems kinda weird that god cant interfere with people but evil spirits and the devil can. This makes me wonder if he has more power then god. wrote ... Nevertheless, we dug ourselves into this hole with no way out. I don't understand the fact that you can't believe that God does not exist. What side are you on man? You don't understand how we can't believe that god dose not exist. This means you think I should believe god dose not exist but the rest of your statements seem to contradict this. I am quite interested in how you find it hard for people to think that god is a possibility when you yourself seem to believe in him. wrote ... They already clarified that there is no Big Bang Theory, and the Evolutionary theory for the most part was completely irrelevant and thrown away by it's inventor (Darwin) who later turned Christian. We have already covered first that just because someone changes their belief dose not mean that their old thoughts were any less correct. Also I would like to point out that Darwin was a Christan long before he came up with evolution. He in fact did not want to kill religion with his theory but this was a side effect. Since they do not know the answer to the question both of the theory are still completely up for grabs. I think that a god just kinda deciding one day "You know what I am going to make a entire universe and then I am am going to make humans on this one."(points to random planet). Yeh your thoughts on the universe are so much more realistic. Look the simple fact is that no one really knows and so far it seems likely that evolution happened. It may have been gods divine will that we evolved that way and I don't claim it isn't possible but I am saying that evolution is still a sound theory. As for the big bang it seems rather likely especially considering that the universe is constantly expanding and everything seems to move in a outward pattern as if they were all hit by a exsplotion a long time ago and just have not stopped because there is no friction in space. If you took any basic physics than you also know a object in motion stays in motion until acted on by another force. Since another force has not acted on it being that we are talking about space then it is likely if they were hit by a exsplotion then everything would stay in motion form it. Do you have a answer for why things seem to all move so uniformly at the same speed from a central point or are you going to say that god did it? maybe he wanted to mess with our heads by doing that. If you are going to make a argument about science I suggest you also use science. Also I did some research on the big bang theory and it would seem that no where in these text is there anything about the creator rejecting his idea. He did find religion but that dose not mean that he changed his views. You are far to narrow minded and think that you can not have science with religion. wrote ... Yes, nobody knows for sure, but enough analysis of people who have had near death experiences have claimed to have either visioned both heaven and hell. Granted, I don't really think that these people would lie about such a thing since they literally almost died. I also do not feel these people are lying I think that they saw what they thought they would see. People in near death are not yet dead and there for if your god is so perfect he would not have their soul release yet. That aside people often hallucinate when they get to near death. They see the vision of the after life that they believe in because they are hallucinating. They may not want to see hell but deep down in their subconsciously they know they have been a bad person and there for they see that when they almost die. I know you just like everyone else has had a very real dream so why do you assume that people who almost die can't? I am not saying that their visions may not be true but there are other just as logical conclusions. wrote ... What about poltergeists? Do you believe in those? Do you think people turn mental and gain superhuman strength to toss themselves against walls and ceilings, or like the Pennsylvania case that happened about 100 miles away from me, make it rain upside-down? Yes what about them? I have yet to see one of these in real life, and what I have seen dose not look to be the work of the devil. I am sorry but I don't think that there is such a thing. For climbing walls and ceiling that is not a problem. You never had a adrenalin rush apparently. I am not really that strong of a person but when someone pushes me past the limit and I enter a blind rage I have been known to out run people who are leaders on their track team and beat up people who are clearly stronger then me. The thing about humans is we tend to use very little of what strength we have and even then it can be increased past 100% by adrenalin. If they did feel threatened and were is some messed up mental state or simply were running on their subconsciouses then they would back up to a place they thought was safe using all their energy. Are you claiming these people's bodies had been altered by the thing that possessed them? If not then their strength doesn't change and there for they could have done it before they just didn't push them selfs hard enough. I am quite interested in how it can rain upside down. Is this a matter of the water going into the sky? If so I got nothing to explain it but I would like to see evdince that it happened and not from some site about poltergeists. I want government or weather information or maybe even something scientific. Something that huge would have been reported because it would be a strange phonomina. wrote ... We will only know when we die if there is a heaven or hell, or a God. But I stick to my belief that someone is there, watching over us. The bible is a book about history. A lot of things in it are true and some aren't. The fact is that most of it there are other explanation like the parting of the red sea was a mistranslation. It is the parting of the dead sea. This particular sea parts on it's own given the right time of year and weather conditions. To people back in the day this would appear to be a mirical but now we know what really happened. You may wonder what that had to do with anything it has to do with exorcism. If it is indeed a medical condition then it was most likely consider like the black pleg to be the work of the devil and was attempted to be healed by holy forces. This kind of event would make it into the bible with their take on the situation. I say not enough miricals happen myself. So many more acts of evil happen then miricals and if god takes the time to save some people why dose he not save other? I have never been trying to attack your faith or to make you believe anything else it is up to you to take it or leave it. I am just saying that your spiral examinations is not the only one and purring my opinion on other people's faith. If you have true faith then such thing will never effect you. |
