i'm against auto teamswapping through script, there are too many factors/variables to consider. would you switch based on skill? new people who come into the server might not have all the skill pts as a reg, but they could be twice as good. ever have an off day? got a bunch of skill but switching me over when i'm 5-20 is not going to help. switch based on KDR? ok, i'm 5-0, but someone else is 130-50. maybe after a certain number of kills. how many then? 20? 50? where do you draw the line? the more kills you go, the closer that person is to leaving anyway (generally). make the kill count too low and you don't have an accurate assessment. also, the same person may get switched all the time and after a while it really starts to feel like punishment for playing well. i've looked at other implementations of auto teamswap and none of them really provide a complete solution. writing the script is not the hard part, coming up with an end-all be-all algorithm for effectively keeping teams even is very very difficult and is why a) it isn't built into the game b) no server has one no, the best way to switch players is to make the judgment call in-game and manually do it. and to do it as little as possible. like i said, we've all been on the shitty team many many times, but if you can suck it up for half an hour chances are it will fix itself. |

great addition to the server, im sure it will help, especially times when there are no admins on at the time. then again I wonder if the teams are even, is it really fair to give 1 team an advantage like that? I guess it is.. | ||

I agree with Joe I don't think a script for team swapping would be a good idea. There are way to many factors and this is not something to do hap haphazardly it can make things more unbalanced then it was before. The thing is even the most complex computer ever made (the human brain) has trouble telling what to do. A computer basing it's info only one the stats has less chance of making a very good choice. Don't waste to much time on it Alex there are far better things you can do with it. Like you could play on your server you work so hard for more lol. |

The only use for it would be to kick/ban players causing trouble or slay campers. And of course there can be scripts to slay players idle for more then 35 seconds so the slaying even wouldn't be needed. |

The script works great. As an admin, this frees me up to deal with other issues in game. It also makes the handing out of cash/health less subjective. There have been times, in the past, where I was drunk as hell and, perhaps, handed out cash too soon, or too much health, out of frustration. Even though I still have the ability to do so, I am more patient because I know that, if my team is getting spanked, both health and cash are on their way! It seems like the script works great.
