No one will be locking this thread because the discussion is still going on. Also, alex does not win. Its almost like he isnt reading my posts. He sticks to his idea that i only want this feature removed only because of my own personal agenda. I have made it obviously clear that this is not the case. Noskill, how could you assume that this discussion was over with this: Alcosatz wrote ... He completely misunderstood where i was coming from. So it resulted in me writing my last post. It clarified my reasoning for wanting this feature removed. What frustrates me right now is that it seems as though alex is not even reading my post. Basically I went through how I, as a professional negotiator, would completely refuse your claim as it doesn't represent the needs/interests of any group larger than 2% of the overall population. While your feedback is appreciated, at this time there is not enough of a detriment prevented or a benefit gained to warrant spending any of the organization's valuable time and energy alleviating a seemingly isolated issue in an overall smooth running and productive operation. This is important because this is your fancy, bolded, underlined, ad nauseum... "main argument," and I can go no further in a discussion if you refuse to concede that it is highly likely that the anti-ghosting feature of Mani does actually prevent some players from ghosting. Here is what I gather: You acknowledge, multiple times, that the anti-ghosting feature is there for a reason, but it's a counter-productive reason because it affects a small handful of players, one of which (you) is complaining about how useless this helpful feature is. Oh, and it doesn't stop anything, which completely negates your concession that it does anything worthwhile. I still don't see a reason to turn it off. I also don't see myself "ragequitting" earlier, nor do I see much interest from others concerning your inconvenience. Also, I got a chuckle out of the "ragequit" comment. Thank you. It's ironic that you are raging about how people need to listen to you, and engage in a discussion. At 9 this morning I was content to let my disinterest win, shed a tear for a minor inconvenience to you and an extremely small subset of FTC'ers, and go about my day. The good news is that all of your petulant foot-stomping and flimsy arguments worked. I took another look and there may be a way to except your Steam ID from the anti-ghosting feature. People wouldn't need to reread your garbage if you didn't constantly change your position with each new delightful post. Just a bit of advice: doctoring up your argument half-way through the discussion (after I pointed out how flawed it was) and claiming it to be unaltered makes you look foolish. So how about it? Kirby, Alex is unbeatable in an argument. My advice to you is to roll over and play dead. Also, I'd be interested in seeing what percentage of people are affected by this particular feature of Mani, for shits and giggles of course. I'm actually expecting a rather high number. |

That was an incorrect statement. I guess in my eyes it was stopping so very little that I thought it to be nothing, and thats what I wrote. I think that sentence alone was probably one of the main causes of this misunderstanding. So, I apologize and take back my statment about ragequiting, and how you were not reading my posts. You were reading them I was just contradicting myself and you were not able to understand where I was coming from.
