A lot of people just do it because its cool. I will be getting one next spring. Its one i have wanted for 4 years, Its going on my back.  Its the famous Iwo Jima picture. My grandfather whom ive respected so much, died on my 13th birthday. He was in the Marines for 3 years, and the Army for 30+. He was IN Iwo Jima during the time this picture was taken. Its not him holding the flag, but this tattoo will be in memory of him and how he lived. I also like to think placement of a tattoo is significant as well. This tat is going on my back. A person's back is considered something that is used to "carry things with them through life." I try and live my life like my grandfather, so the placement seems right. Tattoo's around your heart should be about love, or something that is very close to you. Tattoo's on the legs should be something that has been a part of your life when you were growing up, since your legs are considered your body's "foundation." Stomach is saved for THUG LIFE. If I got one tattoo it would be the Ace of Spades on my inner bicep, but I won't get it probably. I don't like the whole permanent thing. My brother is a candidate for worst tattoo ever. He got a shirt pocket tattoo on his chest. He's going to get a tie and cufflinks to go with it. He's an idiot and there is unremovable proof. |

see I agree, it should mean something and not just be something that someone else has or something that you saw, but that's all anyone else does. No offense to Glitch, but I HATE when people get tattoos for other people. Like a girls name on you for your wife or girlfriend, or a marines tattoo with your dad's platoon number engraved. For something like that THEY should get the tattoo. Unless a girl really means that much to you in which case that just sucks for you, lol. I like to draw a lot and I've been drawing in a tribal type manner my family crest with my last name through it in tribal again. It looks sick I just don't like it if I drew it. I'm trying to get my friend from Massachusetts to draw some samples of it for me to see if I liked someone else's a lot more. I wanted to get my last name in tribal across my back, but I thought that was kindof cliche and gay. |

My buddy has the best tattoo. When he was drunk, we all pitched in to get him a tattoo of the rabbit from wonderland on the inside of his ass cheek, so it looks like he is jumping into his asshole. I hate people who get their name on them though. Are they going to forget, and it's a reminder? |
