Okay, you're saying it's good to concern yourself with matters you can't even vote on, and have nothing to do with. Now that you know about said matters and know that you can't do shit about them no matter how you feel about it one way or the other you have to find some guy with an empire and power to make the choices you agree with for you. Whoever this guy is is way out of your realm of thinking and you can't even comprehend a single decision he makes, and he's not on your side, but it's the only real choice about our system you have because you are a dumb fuck and the government wouldn't trust you to wash their cadillacs. But the system is set up so you can make your own empire, and as long as you don't fuck with other people and their freedoms you're welcome to do whatever you want. I've been in sales and there are 2 types of people. People who have money, understand what it is, and know how to spend it, and those that don't. Knowing that, there are 2 types of salesmen that are necessary for successful marketing: salesmen who reward hardworking citizens with good product, and salesmen who take money away from stupid people to put it back into circulation for others to take. Every politician is aware that this is the way the world works. The only thing you have to do is not be poor. The dumb and poor get sick and the rich stay rich. News Flash: Government corruption and government intervention (plus the federal reserve) is making it increasingly more difficult and unfair to actually not be poor. I'm a little late to this thread (and site in general). Apologies all around, and I promise to not be such a chatbox cock tease every few months. Anyways... I've always found talk about FEMA death camps to be intriguing. It's sort of a jumping off point for discussing guano-crazy conservatives for me. Not sure about George's background, but I suppose he fits the mold. So, guns are awesome. It's been a few years since I've shot one and, while I don't own any now, it's probably not a bad idea to pick up a rifle or shotgun at some point. The problem is that if it boils down to non-Posse Comitatus action (the gubbermint offing people door-to-door) then I'll pretty much take my chances by trying to consume massive amounts of drugs and alcohol in what little time I have left. If, on the other hand, I'm dealing with the fallout from a natural disaster or other event which temporarily suspends civil order then it's probably a good idea to have means of self-defense. Obviously there are some larger issues being discussed in this thread; like those concerning indirect democracy, libertarianism, etc., so I'll offer these words of wisdom: Don't trust libertarian/free market advocates who are willing to offer you free advice. It's not in their self-interest to do so! Telling everyone that they should be armed and able to defend themselves sounds like some Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior! After all, why would they want you to be on equal footing when we're all competing for local resources in the FEMA death camp / post-apocalyptic wasteland?! Kudos to amish for his posts in this thread--I like your style, man! |

Not trying to piss anyone off. Trying to get people in the spirit of making $$$. and also trying to piss you off. The thing you have to realize about the majority of congress is that they aren't passing bills for you, they're passing bills for people 100+ years from now, and when they make it harder for new citizens to make money it's so in the future a bunch of idiots wont be in charge. We're constantly moving towards an age of stabilization. Do you think we're going to keep constantly changing stuff back and forth, left and right forever? No, we're figuring out what works by keeping it under the guise of democracy, knowing it's going to collapse. Make the best of your lives and grab as much cash as you can. No 2 people think alike and an individual's money = an individual's power over the person that disagrees with him. There are ways to climb fast, but you have to suck a lot of older mens' dicks and have a squeaky clean record, even if you have to steal it wink wink (edit) Don't get me wrong, I know some gay ass people with tons of money but nobody knows they exist and all they care about are tax writeoffs, but people that horde $$$ because it's all they care about will never care about or have power, and they usually don't know that money and power are intertwined and that's the way it was meant to be. You have to know how you want to make money, and have an idea of what you are going to do when you have the money so that you're going to be a detrimental help for your neighbors, or fuck over idiots. If you aren't doing either of these things you will never have money, because your neighbors are the ones you're getting your money from. The way you vote for a president isn't based on how it's going to affect dipshits you will never meet in your life. It's based on the implications it will have on how YOU make MONEY. I don't give a fuck if he supports abortion or birth control. I'll wear a condom every time if he nets me $3k more a year + cheap healthcare. Yes this whole thread was an Obama rallyfor myself. There's no way around the wage gap and congress closing loopholes stopping average citizens from getting rich quick, so if that's what you're hoping the republicans are going to do I'm sorry.
