I've been having a lot of weird dreams lately, and it's making me uneasy. I feel like my subconscious is trying to tell me something. First, I should tell you guys that I get huge obsessions with actresses and other girls I look up to... Sometimes to the point of stalker... you know... trying to look up their phone number and whatnot. Now that you know that... recently I had a dream about Shawn Johnson, likely sprung by NoSkill's thread about gymnasts... Because of the dream I've thought about her a lot, and I feel weird about it, since, as you all know, I have a girlfriend. The very next day, I had a dream about another girl in my high school class... Not just any dream where she was in it... She was nude, and we were screwing around. I can't help but think that my subconscious is telling me that I'm too young to keep a girlfriend for too long, and that I should be enjoying myself, dating around. The shitty thing about this is that I know the girl I'm currently with is a girl I wouldn't mind being married to -- she's a nice, quiet girl I wouldn't mind settling down with... But my question is: 1. Should I be settling down? I'm only 17, shit... 2. Do the dreams mean anything, or is my mind just fucking with me. P.S. She's noticed something's up... I haven't been saying "I love you" as much, and I've been thinking about other things while we're out. Advice? |

I know people who are with the people they were with since high school, and they're married and in the 30s. Don't MARRY her or anything, duh. it's not like anyone's expected to not look at other guys/girls when they're in a relationship. no one's that honest/reliable. i mean, honestly, you're not going to hook up with shawn johnson ever. ever. just think about it. dumping someone for a celebrity crush is the dumbest thing ever. 1. define settling down 2. dreams are lols. you won't meet shawn probably, let alone fuck her. don't get above yourself. |

Nostie, what you said is all a part of growing up... and puberty! For real, dude. The best advice i could give you is this. We love you, this clan is great, we all have good ideas. However, a part of growing up, and having your own freedom, is to make your own choices and decisions. You shouldnt be coming onto the forums and asking for advice on your personal relationship issues. That is for you and you only. Dont break up with a girl solely on the basis of the "i dont wanna be tied down" reason. Its stupid. You love who you love. If you do have feeling for her, then its worth fighting for it, and making it work. Ive been with my girl since im 16 (turning 21 in 3 months). Talk about being tied down for half of HS and all of college. Ive had numerous girls beg for me, and one still does, and is sending me texts as i write this asking to be with her instead... (fuck me bro i suck). For real though, i think the dreams are a phase, and will go away. Dreams could be interpreted in any way. Not just the one you came up with. Its your decision.
