Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

And say fuck it to the fact that nuclear energy is the cleanest, most efficient, and less polluting form of energy in the world right now. Ya know, it just doesn't seem right that we should do something so smart and efficient. The waste from a nuclear plant every year can be condensed to the size of the average human fist. It's so much better than the coal that is leading to "Global Climate Change". Want the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere to go from 338 parts per million back down to 336 (the only change over the last decade... a total of .02%)? Well shit, I can't think of any way other than by burning lots and lots of coal, so that we can use it to fuel our inefficient home heating systems that put off more dangerous chemicals into our atmosphere... like chlorine gas!!! Great call on that one, Rusty. Thanks for the enlightenment. You were so specific. Rusty wrote ... I support Obama's taxes/economy plans Wow, that's just what the economy needs. Charging people twice as much (from 15% to 30%) in capital gains taxes every time you buy/sell stocks. That will really get the NYSE going again. I support Obama's abortion He supports leaving born-alive kids with Down's Syndrome to sit alive without medical attention until they die. I'm sorry. That's a little fucked up to me. They shouldn't be treated as humans after birth and just sit there and die like a good fetus should. Rusty wrote ... And I like Biden a hell of a lot more than Palin. Well shit, I don't see how I can argue with that one. All I'll say is I'd rather have an inexperienced Governor that an inexperienced Senator running the country. Biden and Obama know how to sit in a circle and bitch about the other party's opinions. That is what the senate is there for. I know McCain isn't my first choice, but at least his ideas make sense. ALSO, the VP is sooooooooooo important of a political figure. They ride Air Force 2 and are the deciding vote in the Senate.... when the vote is 50v50. Did I mention, they only vote when it is 50v50? Really, really, really an important political figure. Hell, name three things about Dick Cheney other than Haliburton, his lesbian daughter, and him shooting a guy in the face. YOU CAN'T! And if McCain dies in office, I'd still rather see Palin running this country than Obama or Biden... and if Obama wins, you'll know why in the next four years. Edited Thu Oct 16 2008, 06:27AM |

People blame bush.... people blame the republicans... Honestly... did everyone forget the whole... "checks and balances" already? The President doesnt always have the final say in everything... they can't do what they want. Congress has a huge say in it.... and its full of liberals... the kind of people you want to vote into presidency. Presidency has no time for on the job training. Fact. I don't feel I have to specify why I don't think putting in nuclear power plants (about 3 per state, minus what we have) but it will call for much more money to be spent than reducing carbon emmisions by try to atleast see if there is a way to burn coal cleanly. Not to mention Obama would be more likely to help push Hydrogen cars, that McCain won't, considering his lobbyists with the gas companies. Not to mention the instability of a Nuclear power plant and us being a target of many countries, especially if our next president is not liked. Domino effect? b4ndito wrote ... Ok, if you knew much about this situation, he said he is against late term abortions, but if it needs to be legal to let abortion be a legal choice, he would support it. And I can say from experience and a thousand bucks that an abortion has saved me a lot of trouble, and it wasn't even my choice, I fully supported the girls choice. b4ndito wrote ... Rusty wrote ... I'm sorry, but as much as I don't think Palin isn't as dumb as she lets on to be, she doesn't know how to talk to a politician and if she ever had to go to Washington to actually do political work, she would pussy foot around and get fucked anally by any politician with a degree in political sciences. Biden would know how to handle himself. I'm sorry if I feel both candidates have a chance of not making it 4 years in office and think the VPs will have a bigger role this year around. But honestly, the biggest thing I think about it working today to build the future when we are old. That I think solely lies in education, which Obama has the best plan, even though it will cost more, which is part of the tax raises. Edited Thu Oct 16 2008, 06:57AM |

I'm socialist/capitalist. I believe in free healthcare for all who require it(including those who have ZERO money and live in a box), I also believe in welfare for those who have lost a job and have been unsuccessful in finding one before their unemployment insurance runs out. I believe it shouldn't cost 50 000$ to go to university. I believe those who make more money should contribute more. There is no need to own 3 Mercedes Benz and still be able to afford to buy your kids brand new BMWs. If thats what you want to work towards thats fine, but you will be taxed at a higher rate then the mother whose husband walked out on her 2 months after the birth of her child and now she makes 20 000$ working as a waitress. Am i the only one that thinks the guy who has 2 swimming pools should be taxed more then the mother who sells drugs because her waitressing job doesnt pay the rent and food needed for her child? Am I honestly the only one who thinks said mother who needs to waitress at night while her kid sleeps and sell drugs illegally JUST so she can pay the rent and food should have to watch her child die because she cannot afford the 250 000$ bill for chemotherapy when her child gets cancer? You are what you make yourself yes, but there are those who just get a bad hand dealt to them. Don't try and say oh they didnt work hard enough or whatever. You don't know the extenuating circumstances that force someone into a position like this. I have had 3 total family member who had to go on welfare and all 3 are incredibly hard working. They didn't abuse it, they went out and tried to find a job just like they are supposed to. Everything in life has loopholes that lazy people will find their way into. Welfare for example needs to be more regulated, the free health care needs to be for CANADIAN CITIZENS ONLY. If you're not from Canada then whip out your health care card from your respective country/insurance company and they will be paying for it. It is a very closed minded view to think helping others is evil in some way. I don't see why a man who has worked his whole life in a factory making 40 000$ a year should be allowed to die because he does not have 250 000$ laying around to pay for chemotherapy. |

Graduated income taxes are not working. Flat tax rate, that's the way to go. The whole "Lobbyist" thing is so misleading, too. McCain gets campaign money from the oil companies, because they agree with him. Obama gets money from the Sierra Club and a bunch of other wacko-environmental groups, because they agree with him. I've said this before and I'll reiterate for you: Any time someone says that Big Oil or Big Corporations control a candidate because they give money to them is an idiot. They give the candidate money because they support his ideals... i.e, a lower tax rate for the oil corporations. Lobbying is a two-sided issue; hell, if you want to bring it up, we can start talking about William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. They were unofficial lobbyists for Obama back in his early political career in Chicago. Edited Thu Oct 16 2008, 03:56PM |

Flat tax rate? as in 30% for all? or do you mean 10 000$ yearly. FYI Canada runs fine on gradual tax system. My dads in the 52% tax bracket and hes fine with it because he knows that his taxes helps people my age go to university much cheaper, allows those without money to get health care and those who lose their job to sustain themselves for alittle longer while they search for a job. Yea, and you guys are socialist in principle. In America, that's considered theft. No one besides my dad and his parents sent him to college. I'm doing the same thing. As the great Ronald Reagan once said, "I believe the best social program is a job." Don't make the government or other people take care of your shit for you. |

I take care of my self dude. I think I'm more of a testimate to that then most of the guys my age on this board. I'm paying for my own university(22 000$ just in tuition +books, +residence, etc), I pay rent, live on my own and i dont have anyone to take care of me. If i was offered help i would surely take it. The fact of the matter is, more people go to university if they could afford it which means they get a higher paying job which means more money for the government which means lower tuition for the younger generations which means higher paying jobs achieved which means more revenue for the government and so on. I fail to see how this is a bad thing. And FYI I also work to pay for this shit, its not like im getting all kinds of free money from the government. Even if i could i am not eligable because my dad makes above 100 000$ which exempts you from receiving any money from the government. By saying these things like the best social program is a job and such it makes americans seem snobby and above everyone else. It makes it seem to others as if you are calling them lazy. The 3 people i mentioned that had to go on welfare for a short period of time(one is actually on it ATM) are certainly not lazy. But if it werent for the welfare they would not have recovered from their slumps and thats a fact. I dont want to seem like an ass to you guys but the way you talk about social programs makes you seem completely compassionate jerks. |

Get rid of the welfare system. I would rather pay taxes and support the rebirth of my economy instead of people who won't get off of their lazy asses and get a Goddamn job. Reagan's quote = win. | ||
