Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Tell me five reasons why you support him. Yes, that means you Ruskiy. They can't be "cause he's laid back and cool and black". What of his POLICIES do you like? |

Hes not George W Bush Sarah Palin is not his VP candidate He has a set timetable for an Iraq exit plan (no such pull out plan from McCain) Time to let Iraq spend their own money on their problems Hes for alternative energy (and I swear if I hear McCain say nuclear power one more time I'll shit myself) and yes I do realize it will be about 10 years before we see any results, but then again, it will be 10 years before we see any oil from Alaska and off-shore rigs, so at least we will be taking a step in the right direction. He can actually talk like a president (no growling noises like McCain) Image is actually pretty important to make us not look like idiots again for another 4-8 years. His taxes are for people earning over $250,000 (fuck Joe and his made up republican buddies) The last time a Democrat was in the whitehouse, the stock market didn't crash. there's 7 of my reasons. lets here your reasons for McCain and try not to make this a flame war (bandito) |

1) The way he approaches situations. He always like to find common ground and come to a collective consensus. Consensus meaning he likes everyone to participate in anything he does and he never makes a decision by himself. he uses VERY good thought process and intelligence to not be a dumbass about shit. I have YET to see him flip-flop on any issue, and even though he is promising a lot, if he doesn't come to complete all his goals, at least by trying he has done more than bush. Obama is a VERY smooth talker, and even if it's all bullshit, he warms his audience up very well and he feeds us the bullshit a lot better than "I'm dubya and I'm staying in iraq *cheeky stupid fucking smile*" 2) I hate McCain, and when it comes to One or the Other, Obama easily gets my vote. 3) graduated income tax spreading the wealth - to some this may seem like a communistic fashion of government, but I feel that top CEOs and big corporations don't give a shit about the middle or lower class(why should they need to with all that money they can throw at people? I know I would be a dick too if I was in their shoes, but I'm not) so narrowing the gap between the upper class and everyone else I feel, will limit their power. 4) His opinions on Abortions. I'm pro-life and pro-choice, but above all I feel it is up to the woman to decide what goes on in their body, and that is their to deal with what happens with their bodies. YES, there are always stupid fucking people who just keep getting pregnat and getting abortions for the fuck of it and I feel that is WRONG. however, when someone is raped violently and ends up with a child, why is it up to her, to have her life ruined by someone like that, and THEN have to deal with motherhood which can costs thousands of dollars as a single mother. 5) Did someone say Oil? Yeah, NO THANKS MCCAIN, I'd rather we lose our independence in foreign nations and work on producing our OWN energy that replenishes itself. Wind energy, Solar energy, etc. Breakthroughs are being made and if he supports government spending on Energy issues, I would support him with my taxes. I think fixing our energy problems will help us EXPONENTIALLY in the future. McCain is a flip-flopping whore who is stealing Obama's slogans, etc. Obama has been change SINCE HIS PRIMARY. McCain picks this bullshit up and uses it since late september? FUCK THAT. I don't agree with some things Obama believes, like what he is doing with the Stock Market, or how he may be handling the war(I want out of Iraq, just not an immediate pull - things need to be done the right way), but all in all I trust him a lot more than McFatty, and I feel he is the proper Candidate for what America needs. Plus he was on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Therefore I ignit and vote Obama. |

The New York Times recently issued an "Election Guide: Candidates on the Issues." Not everything is cited... but what IS in a newspaper. here you guys can read some of the stuff if you are confused on what platforms these Candidates have. It is easily divided so you guys can read it (Ruskiy, Obama is predominantly on the left, while McCain is on the right..... sorry... again... OBAMA ON THE LEFT, MCCAIN ON THE RIGHT*) -[link]- *reference to this: -[link]- |

I'm partial. I like Mccaine because of; 1. Drilling in the US. This is SURE to lower the price dramatically. 2. His stance on gay marriage is more liberal than Obama's. At first, Obama said he supported it, then admitted that his religion influenced his ideas on it. He's for civil unions, but not gay marrige. Mccaine, on the other hand, isn't for either. He's for letting the people decide via vote, which is what's going on right now in California with Prop 8. 3. Republicans' max of a 10% consumer tax. There's no reason to inflate it beyond that. 4. I, for one, like his tax cuts to the moderately wealthy. Obama's; 1. Abortion. He's pro choice on it. 2. I'm undecided on his health care ideas. They're nice, but not sure how it will work out, tax wise. 3. He's just a likeable guy. I also like Biden, he's funny, and they're not bad people, just their ideas don't agree with mine. The reason I made this thread was to see if the people on here are like most of the Democrats I see. They don't know why they're supporting Obama, they just are because he's "cool", and they live in California, and the media and schools are controlled by Democrats. I hate people like that, AKA the young Democrats club at my school which I go to to laugh at the bigot idiots who say why they love Obama. If I were to even suggest that I favor Mccaine, I'd get burned alive here in SF. Fucking hippies. |

But I think it's very important to understand that Drilling takes time. And it will be about 10 years before we even see a drop of new US oil. Drilling more will not solve the problem, but just delay the fact that we need to find new types of fuel. |

Yeah, it won't lower the price of gas substantially for a minimum of 2 years, at least... finding other resources in a shorter ammount of time is where my head was at on the energy issues... |

I like obama for 1 majror issue. Our $10 trillion debt, the one that is almost 11 trill? Well with McCain keeping taxes relatively the same as bush (which are high for a republican) there is no increase of killing our debt, at all. We need to pay for our war, I don't give two shits if you are for it or against it, you still have to pay for it, because you are an American, and your brothers and sisters are fighting for "freedoms" of others. Obama's tax raise, especially in the 2% high income brackets wouldn't only create less space between middle and high class, but actually pay for some of this debt that we have racked up. Also not to mention the simple things: Education: Obama would also put more money into our schools from these raised taxes. This we won't see effects of this for about 20 years, but I can damn sure tell you in 20 years+ we'll be back on top of education, and we really need that. Gay rights: I don't like neither of the candidates aren't for gay marriage. We have it here in Mass, and to tell you the truth, no one has died. You can now even come to Mass from out of state and marry your fagboy if you really want. No one has died, no one has suffered, and to be honest, I don't see it negatively effecting anyone on a daily basis. Abortion: I one have seen what wonders an abortion can do for accidents and rape. I'll admit I know people who just keep getting them, and they are in the wrong, they should be more responsible, but for rape or maybe a broken condom, I don't see a problem. Energy: I honestly don't think either of their ideas are what we need. We need to force hydrogen based cars onto the market. South California/Honda have a hydrogen car out there on the road starting either this year or next year. If I wasn't in horrible pain and tired I'd look up the real stats of the car, but I know it's good, minus because socali is the only place that has hydrogen refuel stations, you can get some good mileage. That's the new wave. Image: If you look at it, most of the outside world likes Obama more than McCain. And like stated before me, our image is more important than you could think. The fact that people like Obama would lead to us not being so hated. I have a ton of friends who just got back from studying abroad and they all told me they pretended to be Canadian because they had seen some American's get kicked out of bars, get beat up, not really get around without getting heckled. (Mostly in Europe) there are others, but I'm too tired to think right now, also, I don't know who I'm voting for 100%, just stating why I like Obama. |
