However I agree with knight. #1 I'm not going to hide my feelings on the internet because some people can't take it because they are either too sensitive or too emotional. and #2 I too feel proper discipline is what lacked. As knight probably knows, getting spanked or wacked a few times makes you learn what is right or wrong at an early age. I wouldn't be who I am today if I was just told "No" and then have my Xbox 360 Elite with extra hard drive and Call of Duty 4 taken away. Like my dad always says... "waffle him on the fucking ear!! He'll learn!!" Or my favorite... "OMG!! grab him, he's going to stick his finger in the socket!!" "I know... I've been watching him for a few minutes. I want to see if he does it and learns on his own, if he'll try it again!" |

He's feeding fuel to the "Games are bad hysteria". Yet he was still only 15, so why not wait a year until you laugh at him...? I do agree parents beating their kids as a punishment should be re-instated. (Of course not drastically, maybe a good old ring finger or belt) Not what I got which was a steam iron to my back but something to actually teach them. Too many kids running around with guns and knives, prisons and parents lack the actual authority they should have now, just because of some people who took it too far. Parents should be loved and feared not pissed on. So yes I do feel sorry for the parents because with so many rules now no one knows what they can or can not do any more, same goes with racism. Though running away from home because your parents took their x-box away is pathetic. Though too be honest, it is still quite funny but still very much untasteful (<<--that's not a word :o blimey) Though totally laying into the kid is still, well not the good type of jest. |

Yes, he was a stupid immature kid, he should've known better, hell, I'm 14 and I wouldn't even think of something that immature. All I'm saying is a human life is a human life, while he did kind of deserve it and he delivered it himself. I'm not saying I feel bad for him, I just don't like laughing at death because it is pretty serious, call me overemotional, whatever. I can't say I feel sorry for anyone (even the parents, they should've set limits) except that a life was lost to something so idiotic as an Xbox360 taken away. | ||

EW that's sad, but I'm sorry I kinda agree with Knight but not so cruely. The parents are just doing their job, obiviously he was doing something that deserved punishment or he wouldn't have gotten his xbox away. Since it's not like you can spank your kids anymore, what were they supposed to do? |
