Well originally I was inspired by a book I had read called "walden" It was written by a man that had made a living pretty much off the earth and spending little to none for money, also excluding himself from society (wich happened to be right next door). He did this for a few years, so I figured why not try it for 3 days? Well that turned into having myself also be occompanied by my cousin chad (hes to my right) and myself (holes in the shirt, shorts, shag hair, and attitude to the camera) trippin in a man made tp that I built while he watched (ha). Henry David Therough(sp?) This man was one of the greatests minds to ever live. He was probably crazy, if he wasn't before, he was from years of sollitude. I have great respect for him, though his essays were that of great bordom to my junior year of highschool. I have yet to watch this video of yours, but I hope to see how it went, and also hope to hear about you in the news for following Civil Disobedience(sp?) for then you would be a far greater man then anyone in this clan could be. Also the first day, I didnt have enough battery to film the rest of it. It was fun. But yea, we did trip our balls off-- As for using youtube, I was on my way to uploading it when I read a post that they only allowed so many minutes/megs so I figured it wasnt going to work... Well, KD is young, I'm not sure if he understands Henry David. I do understand the point of gonig into the woods, I do understand the salvia too. I mean, though Henry was trying to escape taxes and social behavior, he also intended on becoming one with nature. I'm sure that man did a lot of "drugs" when he was out there. But he didn't bring a container of water, or a tarp, or any of that, because he tried not to have personal belongings. His whole theory was based on the idea that the government could not tax him property tax because he did not own anything (house, belongings). He also went by the idea that if they arrest him, so what? He would get a free shelter, free meals, it was better then what he was living in. I therefor call apon a qutoe. "People should not fear their government, the government should fear the people." |
