Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Stress relievers I use in order of frequency: 1) Scream, literally just get fucking loud. Like real loud, to the point where people start looking at you, don't even say angry shit, just fucking yell your normal conversation. You'll usually end up laughing towards the end cause you're making a scene. (cute girl might find it funny/sexy too that you shrug off such social norms like "being quiet and respectful" and are instead loud and boisterous) Example dialogue: Friend: "So what do you think of this place." You: *screaming like you're in front of the subwoofer* "I THINK THIS PLACE SUCKS!" Friend: "Dude why are you yelling?" You: "WHAT?! THIS IS MY NORMAL VOICE! I THOUGHT YOU SAID THERE WAS GOING TO BE HOT CHICKS HERE!?" Friend: "Dude people are staring at you" You: *looking around* "ARE ANY OF THEM HOT CHICKS!? HEY THERES ONE!" *points blatantly* "LET'S GO SAY HI!" Friend: "Dude I'm not gonna go anywhere if you're just going to yell at people." You: *as loud as you possibly can* "I'M NOT YELLING!" When done right and spontaneous it can be frickin hilarious. Think Tourettesguy, be the tourettesguy but say more than just SHIT and FUCK. 2) Smoke pot. Obviously not something you should be doing on the fly, and honestly I never smoke if I'm trying to pick up chicks. It fucks with my game pretty badly, but if I'm just chillaxin on a random day and after work... smoke err day. 3) Sex. Obviously right? It's tough to be angry after you've just dumped your load on some chick you met 6 hours earlier. It also does wonders for your self-esteem and overall mental health. 4) Punching bag. Get one, use it. Not only is it a great cardio workout that strengthens your upper body considerably, it's also good to be able to throw a solid punch when neccesary. And seriously you think you're pissed, spend 10-15 minutes going off on a 200lb bag and see how pissed you still are. 5) Angry music. Slipknot, Slayer, Mastadon, etc. Sometimes when I'm really pissed at work I'll just crank that shit up in my office... and I usually end up laughing because no matter how angry I am... I'm never going to be as angry as these tools. =) 6) Stay positive. Just be positive. Cocky funny, not cocky asshole. There's a fine line between the two, the former attracts girls like flies to shit, the latter attracts punches to your face like flies to shit. The deciding factor, is are you feeling positive? Or negative? The same line "Damn, before I got here I thought I was good looking." has two totally different meanings when said in a positive frame of mind and when said in a negative frame of mind. Be positive and upbeat. Girls are by nature, insecure, depressed, moody, defensive and all these other negative feelings, they cling to people who can change that mood. Who can make them laugh and feel good, it's hard/impossible to do that when you yourself are negative. But at the same time, most guys are negative, so if you can be upbeat and funny and happy, you'll stand out like a sore thumb. In that regard I'll tell you, read the book NLP:Neurolinguistic Programming. (I sent a copy to Knight, he could prolly tell you what he thought) You don't gotta read the whole thing but read the chapter on setting mental anchors. And find some external stimuli that puts you into an awesome state of mind, it could be a movie you love, a situation you're fond of, uh fucking like a scenario that you enjoy or reading my posts on the forums, whatever external stimuli makes you feel like an awesome person. And then create a physical anchor for it. Like for me, I was a bartender, and I've never felt more confident, in control, funny, sexy, authoritative and overall upbeat and positive than when I'm sitting behind a bar, making bank and getting people drunk. It's a great feeling. So I took that feeling, and anchored it to two things. The first anchor is tapping the face of my wrist watch with my right hand (this one is more powerful but I'm not always wearing a watch). The second anchor is tugging on my left ear lobe with my left hand... seriously it may sound silly. But you can train your brain, to practically recreate a feeling of choice (emotions have memory), by tieing it to a physical, repeatable action. It's honestly the technology/procedures, psychologists use to help people get over traumatizing events, like war or being diddled by their uncle. You can use it to strengthen feelings/thoughts/anything mental and you can use it to reduce the impactfulness of the same things as well. (cognitive disassociation, no drugs required =p) And I don't always drink, but when I do, I drink Dosecies. (random pun) Edited Fri May 08 2009, 04:20PM |

Actually let's stay on the subject of NLP for a minute. I truly believe it to be one of the more useful concepts I've learned in my life. Eventually you could look forward to not only being able to change your own state of mind at will, good enough in itself, but here's the fun part... you will be able to change OTHER people's mental state as well. I myself don't use this too often in pickup, at least not consciously, like I don't have an NLP routine where I walk some random chick through a stressful event into euphoria BUT I have used it successfully to do the following. My best friend of 16 years had a fear of driving long distances. When he was 18 years old, he passed out at the wheel of his car while driving down the highway at 65mph with myself and a 3rd friend of ours (all best friends) in car. Fortuntately none of us were hurt, but he passed right the fuck out and swerved off the road and into a ditch and shit... it was hectic, foam out his mouth, slumped over... we thought he was fucking dead. He recovered like 5 minutes later but it shook all of us. Ever since then, he's been afraid (at least subconsciously) to drive long distances, especially with other people in the car. To the point where he would be visibly agitated behind the wheel. He'd be unresponsive to conversation, get pretty upset a minor shit (like which turn do we take) and generally dampen the mood. So I asked him about this one day while driving to Foxwoods (a 2 hour drive). He was bothered, and it was just the two of us so I asked him what was wrong and he told me "Dude ever since that day I hate driving long distances, I'm worried it'll happen again." Over the next 40 minutes I worked with him using an NLP Patterning technique called Re-Framing and we literally changed the way his brain remembers that event. I won't go through the whole technique, but it starts by vividly remembering/reinacting the initial event and then changing it slowly, piece by piece, doing things like imagining it from a 3rd person perspective, if the memory had volume, turning it down, if the memory was in color, imagine it black & white... until the memory... or the feeling associated with it... has been changed considerably. Anyway fuck I got a client I got to talk to, I'll be back. |

^ beast man i ono about all tha shit lol, like i jus get fuckin lvivid sometimes, and lately my patience with people has been running lower and lower.... so i was wondering a way to release some angry, but sometimes ill be in the right place to scream and punch shit, sometimes i wont lol last night i came to the conclusion that if a mother fuckier even looks at me the wrong way man im wildin out. dam noskill, ive jus been now realizing how complex the mind is, how much u think u have control and know yourself but not really. seems like you a lil ahead of that game though, controlling your mind and emotions, crazy shit. but man, i don't know if i wanna FORCE myself to be positive, like thinkin of that makes me sick like im this guy wearing a fake smile on my face 24/7. When im angry i almost want to indulge in that anger, same for every other emotion. Edited Fri May 08 2009, 05:20PM |

If you could force a winning hand in poker, would you? If you could force the dealer to bust, would you? If you could force bosses to give you raises, and politicians to look after the people who elected them and people to be kind and caring, would you? What if you could force a girl you like, to like you back, would you? So why do you say that if you could force your mind, to help you, rather than hinder you, you wouldn't? You'd be amazed at how much damage you may have done to your natural thought process through years of subordination, conformity, insecurity, anxiety, negativity, and other natural stimuli that your mind has developed natural defense mechanisms for. (not all of which are helpful... quite the contrary in many cases - -[link]- some more info on that A quote from that link: "He is especially interested in automatic (or mindless) compliance and claims that the "evidence suggests that the ever-accelerating pace and informational crush of modern life will make this form of unthinking compliance more and more prevalent in the future.") So if I told you the only way to "repair" this damage was to "force" your mind to change... you would be opposed to that? Or even opposed to possessing the ability to should you truly need it one day? Like when a close family member passes away and you're stricken with can't-get-out-of-bed grief? Basically you need to ask yourself, do I want to be in control of my life, my thoughts and my faculties, or do I want to be subject to a force I really don't understand (my own mind)? Humans are such silly creatures. Edited Fri May 08 2009, 06:03PM |

NoSkill that is just a fancy word for classical conditioning lol. Same reason why people flinch when you make like you are going to punch them and same reason why nearly everyone has a food they can't eat cause they threw up once after they ate it. | ||
