Just got my retail copy of win 7 in the mail today. Installed it on my laptop (which has been running a "non genuine" copy of XP for the past month or so). Then realized that no-one has made any drivers for an unreleased OS. FML Seriously though, I wouldn't trust my 4 year old laptop with Vista at all. But from what I've seen so far, it's running 7 like a champ... without any drivers! Yeah so the recycle bin takes up a quarter of the screen, but it's a machine meant for a 10 year old OS, and it's able to run an OS that's not even out yet! I can't wait to get it on my newer computer that was actually meant for Vista. Oh, and you can say goodbye to that stupid blank screen before your profiles load. Thank god. |

I have the genuine Windows 7 Ultimate for 6 weeks now. My friend downloaded it and its cracked. Yes its genuine. I get normal updates and shit... got the key code and everything. Check it out... There are drivers. Not only do you sometimes not need to install one, as Windows 7 automatically searches it and installs it, but the vista drivers work on it too. My moms laptop, gf's laptop all have vista x64 drivers and not one hiccup yet. Everything works fine. Most video cards and motherboards now offer 7 drivers. Couple more months and you will see drivers everywhere. Its so fast, has awsome features, visually stunning and stable. I havent had one problem with anything yet. If you run into a problem, don't sweat it. Run it in "XP Mode." My favorite is the application tabs on the task bar. Plus the "Shake." Open up like 7 windows of anything. Then click and hold one and shake your mouse. It minimizes everything for you but that window. Do it again and it brings them all back. Also, try the "Snap," which is this: click and hold a window, then snap it against the side of your desktop (edge of screen) watch what happens. So many other features. Microsoft finally did it right. I got my Windows 7 Ultimate on my Patriot Xporter Flash Drive. Its dual channel flash memory. I can install Windows 7 in 10 minutes or less. -[link]- -> go there, take all the win 7 quizzes (if they're still doing it). That's how I got my copy, well copies. They'll send you a 32 and 64 bit edition of ultimate. And it's a not-for-resale copy, so it comes with unlimited keys. One thing though, you have to work in retail, otherwise no perks for you. But good news Zero, from what I hear, win 7 is the easiest version to crack yet. And glitch, the reason i don't have any drivers is because the first install i did was on an old laptop that didn't even support vista. but it's on my newer computer now so it's all good. |

Oh and i can get mine through school too. Some sort of microsoft academic alliance shit.. Its awsome. Not where i got 7 though, as they only have basic and release candidate. 2 weeks and they will have the full version. But i can get Windows Server 2008 which is super expensive...lol.
