Seriously, is it not one of the most wonderous things ever invented? How a shot of this elixir can take even the most downtrodden and ho hum individual and turn them into a laughing charismatic charming personality? Girls look better, jokes get funnier, seriousness gets... well less serious, you can say things that people would crucify you for if said sober and get approval. It's really something else. And as an alchoholic, I wonder if it's really all bad. Like... is the need for this type of comfort to exist a bad thing or is it good that the vice is there to take us away from the real problems. Since the problems never go away, maybe we should. (figuratively speaking) All I know is that alchohol in general, makes things better than what they are up until a certain point. Once you cross that point shit can go either way and it's almost impossible to find the line on any given night. Meh just random food for thought. As I drink my SoCo and somehow feel happier. =) |

If I can be honest, people are destructive, alcohol isn't. For instance: when my brother drinks, his drinking level goal is "TUCKER MAXED HAMMERED!" He doesn't like remembering the night, he prefers if he hears stories of him being a complete asshole, and he drinks way too much When I drink, I work towards getting my buzz, then I slow down my pounding of beers to be just between buzzed and drunk, the perfect level. You have the most fun without the hangover or bad stories the next time (sometimes.... not a promise) I think as long as it's not abused, like anything, it's amazing  I've been out of college and I've been so depressed the only thing to cheer me up has been 4 funnels of Busch every night. Every night I don't have it, I feel like shit and get even worse. I absolutely feel addicted, and I love it.Just the THOUGHT of alcohol gets me excited and energetic, and that part, I love the most. |

I too am a very functional alcoholic. Drink every day. Makes everything better. I'm pretty quiet by nature, maybe even a little socially awkward. When I drink, however, it is a completely different story. Terribly outgoing, talkative, and energetic. Love it. | ||

yeah. I don't think you should drink Alcohol so that you can get away from life. You also shouldn't drink it because you can't live without it. It does make life seem fuller though! Which makes it a lot of fun. I hope that made sense. | ||

I don't do it to escape, most of the time. It's also not a big deal if there is a day I don't drink. I like it, so I do it. | ||

I really am not addicted, It's just something I genuinely enjoy and why not do something you enjoy if you're not abusing it? Anytime I tell people how often I drink they call me an alcoholic but I don't have an addictive personality so I don't really care what they think. |
