Just playing the game would be a vast and welcome improvement. I don't care if the rain doesn't blow sideways or if I can't count 1x10^8 grass blades. I just want it to function with 30-50fps and no lag. Glitch what do you think, you think this card could do it? On low-medium settings? |

The card prolly could... but i dont know how much it will be bottle necked by the rest of the system. You could give it a shot. If it doesnt give you much of an increase, which it may not, then ur just pretty much pissing away $80. Its a gamble. The $400 system wouldnt be a gamble and would def make the game enjoyable. But if you cannot afford to spend that then it doesnt really matter. I dont see how the card could hurt, if anything it would be the same or better. Your choice. If it was me, and i had the money, i would buy the system. If i didnt have the money, and wanted to play really bad, i would give the card a shot. Edited Tue Mar 09 2010, 04:09AM |

I'm probably getting the Radeon 4870. If that alone doesn't do the trick, I'll be upgrading to an AMD x2. Sigh technology is so expensive... |

Get a 9800GT. Because u have an Nforce chipset, i wouldnt throw in an ATI card in fear of some potential driver issues. 9800GT and ur good to go. I have two friends playing the game with no problems and one has a 9600GT and the other an 8800GS. |

9800gt is on the way. Although I'm probably going to need to get a X2 processor too. Hey if this doesn't work I'm gonna have to upgrade to an AM2 mobo or something.
