This is an open letter to the guy at the AL Prime gas station. I rather enjoyed your visit today. You came bombing into the station in you GMC Yukon with such purpose, to say I was impressed would be an understatement. You clearly saw that I was occupying pump one, and another patron was refilling at pump three, so the clear choice for you was to fuel up at pump two, rather than wait your turn. I admittedly watched with amusement as you attempted to parallel park your superfluous vehicle into the space between us (I imagined a monkey trying to fit a rectangular peg into a square hole). After several attempts and even more near misses of my bumper, you decided that a 45 degree angle about 10 ft from the pump was suitable for you. All the while blasting the classic Lil John's "Get Low," which I rather enjoyed in 2004 while it was popular. Then you stepped out of your vehicle. I marveled at how in your 40's you could rock an unbuttoned shirt, and still look like a douche-bag. I would have offered you a Jager bomb, or perhaps some goose and mixers was more your type, but the gas station did not sell liquor. Upon seeing me, you increased the volume of your stereo as if to prove "yeah, I'm still cool," but instead had the opposite effect to the other patrons your age that were not intense enough to wear club clothes at 12:30 PM. But this was not the end of your show. Upon the completion of Get Low, you reached back in your suv and hit the repeat button (such an awesome song, I know). At this point though, I sadly had to part ways, as my tank was full. I climbed back into my Honda and turned it over. I decided since you were so eager to show off your stereo, that I would allow you to sample my JL subwoofers. I turned up the volume about halfway on my stereo, which to me was nearly unbearable, but worth it to see the look on your face.
