So all was well and good during our nearly 6 year colorful history then this shit happened. Mac is a fucking cancer always will be in my mind. OVER FUCKING SIMPLIFICATION is Mac's motto. The bastard child of the personal computer world was recently adopted into the online gaming community aka CSS. In this moment in history such as Franz Ferdinand getting shot by Gavrilo Princip ignitting WWI. Our beloved CSS is now in shambles. So what is the point of this update? Current Hardware was the only limitation for game server performance. We had stable boosted 20,000 fps server on Nethalam i7s. Now we just get game engine locked 66 tick servers. Who the fuck needs achievements? I was the undisputed champion of the UMP45 in my career with FT I had over 22,000 ump kills. The Mani Mod ranking system and HLstats / Pstats was all we needed. Due to this update noobs are running around with AWPs in our holy beloved office. Mani Mod along with most server mods are broken. True they will be recoded for this new migration of game engines but it wont be the same. They really made this personal too I was launching a GSP later this week and now we are fucked even before going public. We invested into high performance networking in Chicago. I guess we can be "THE BEST DAMN 66 TICK SERVERS EVAR!". All and all im calling my brother in arms of the css world for a Valve Boycott. (Possible Death Threats?) There have been servers that have been running it on 100 tic. Very few have been ran successfully. I think this has something to do with the hitboxes being fixed. I would imagine that this restriction can't be forever. Give it about a week or two, and this update will be smoothed out. Kind of like a movie that starts off really bad, give it a chance to get good. |

We successfully got it to 100 tick and boosted back to 1000 fps and running fairly stable | ||

Only have 1 legit reason to be mad. Your ingame name is dictated by steam friends. After a whole night playing I kinda warmed up to the update. However bugs to be noted. I've seen 3 times a CT running around as a Arctic Terrorist. Then a guy appears to be in spawn but in reality he is running around the map invisible. A constant crouching dude (MadV last night). ya i actually didn't mind the update last night except it made me lagzorz a bit turned the freezecam off as well also i noticed in the buy menu they shit is a little effed up but i'm sure it will all get taken care of in the next couple weeks... fuckin better |

The update has nothing to do with them releasing it to Macs. This update has been planned before they even announced releasing Steam to Macs, and the dates coincided because it'd be a horrid business decision to release to macs a week before a huge update like this. Your fettered mindset and Mac hatred has no place in this topic. I do agree about the update though, it's a little annoying, but nothing that'll keep me from playing. |

Macs aren't designed for gaming, people just can't accept it. They're made for the common amateur user, not tech junkies. At their level now, they will never be in competition with Microsoft PC. I haven't played the update yet, will soon; only drawback I see for me is bad hitboxes, I can deal with the rest. |
