I've always looked at it this way: If the college bans weapons and you get hurt because you couldn't defend yourself, I view it as their fault. If the college requires people to carry weapons and you get hurt because someone shot you, they could get screwed... If the college allows carrying like in every other part of the state, they're neither advocating nor banning it. I imagine that's not how insurance/liability works, but it seems logical to me to think about it that way. |

I think if they had a list of everyone who has a gun/what type of gun they carry. Then it should be okay, then if anything happens with it they can easily trace things back to the person. |

The only way guns will ever be tolerated again in this society (I don't care where school, church, fucking daycare) is if there comes a reason for average citizens to take up arms again. Which while entirely possible, isn't entirely likely. So while I understand your love (I share it) for the 2nd amendment it doesn't apply well to every scenario. Home defense against an unlawful invasion. Yes. Study aid. Not so much. If you truly felt it important enough to carry a gun on you at all times... you would. You wouldn't ask permission and you certainly wouldn't tell anyone... you just would. Many people do. |

I think it's a myth that gun control laws prevent crime. I'd feel more comfortable if people like Nostie had a concealed weapon on campus. |
