so what ur saying is that all I need to do is run into some guy with a hotrod who recently got diagnosed with lou gherrigs and needs money to pay for treatments, buy his car, then ill be an expert on automotive mechanics and finally be able to drop 5k g's on motal doodads to fuck up my investment because i think I'm smarter than engineers at nissan? Sounds fun | ||

Sounds fun yes and understand it's not about being smarter than engineers. Engineers didnt throw those things on simply because it raises the price and they have to stick within a certain market for competition. Changing a few internals and throwing a supercharger on the engine...will net you long term reliability just as so as long as you take care of it. However, in terms of investment.. you are correct. You will never see that money back once you sell the car. Then again, take off the supercharger, sell the car, then sell the supercharger. At least you can get SOME money back. |

Besides, resale is on the lower end of my priorities list, as I plan on keeping this car for quite a while. If I was in the business of flipping cars, I would probably go for something more popular/practical that I could turn over in a short period of time. |
