I realized that I saved most of my xfire conversations from 2006-2007. This is a gold mine from the hey-day of FT... for me, at least. I also kept some stuff from 2008 when just about everyone moved to Steam Friends but, honestly, SF is so shitty about timestamps that I'm pretty sure I didn't collect most of it. These files are such a depressing slog through a lot of good and bad times. I keep reading the individual files and closing them after reading a few lines. For some reason it feels wrong digging up this shit. I can't figure out why the fuck I saved these things in the first place. I really want to delete them but I'm almost positive that I can't. After looking a little more: there are so many gems here, I just can't let go. I've got top-quality arguments with Graffiti, Goose, Wu, even Fetus. Obviously there is is something wrong with me hanging onto internet arguments from five years ago. I know this, but fuck, man! There is some choice stuff here--things to actually be proud of! There are topics that prevent me from deleting the whole batch of files. Fuck if I know where I was going with this thread in the first place. A bad trip down memory lane, I guess. You can also PayPal me $5 for all chat logs with SuNsHiNe  P.S. I'm not a pack rat when it comes to physical stuff so please don't suggest me for the next Hoarders episode! |

Funny that you brought this up - I just found a folder in my old backup drive labelled "canoob evidence" with screenshots in game, in console, chat logs, the works. But I have other .txt files with huge chunks of text that make me giggle to this day unrelated to FT. |
