I did see the sticky post you guys mentioned in the FTC forum. However the rule seemed to be more like a blanket statement. But I personally do not agree with the "that person only cares about kills" scenario. I can understand the sentiment of making sure the CT's go towards the goal. The only time I camp garage is when I need to get into the back and I'm out numbered OR when the Terrorists team is constantly coming in from behind and killing us. But if I'm in a firefight? Does the 20 second rule still apply? Granted if I hang around and nothing happens for 20 seconds then it's time to make a deceision either go in or leave the other way. But if I'm activley engaging terrorists I don't believe I should have to charge at them especially since I'm out numbered. Also for the statement "not Backing up my teammates" I'm covering their rear when I camp garage if we always get flanked. It's really the best choke point to do this at. That's why I feel as long as you have a tactically sound reason for camping and your not holding up the round. Does what I'm saying make sense? Or am I crazy?

If you're actively engaged with an enemy near spawn within the first 20 seconds then, no, it's not camping. If the engagement happens after 20 seconds then you're on thin ice. Most admins will let it slide the first few times. If it keeps happening then you're in trouble. What bothers me the most is the people that think that because they got away with it for a few rounds then it's open season. Try telling a cop, "hey, the first 10 people I shot in the face and took their wallets... you guys didn't catch me. So fuck off, I'm in the VP clan and we don't follow rules." Er... wait... yeah, you get the point. |

Exactly ^^^^. Most admins won't punish the first time, it may be a warning or a slap or explode, but when it happens round after round and its noticeable, then expect a slay. Its not as though admins will purposely sit in spec to catch and slay players as soon as the 20 second mark is up, but if your holding up the round, then there is no excuse. | ||

Er... wait... yeah, you get the point. Yes that methodology I can agree with 100% I can speak of frustration running through the garage after a minute and finding the same CT 5 rounds in a row. |

Only admins know how and when to camp : P hehe jk, I have been known to camp back window, even though it pisses me off, but only for 2 reasons, either my entire team is stuck there and refuses to move, in which case I do my best to get them to move thier asses, or if I am outnumbered by more then 5 to one. Other then that, camping=bad. The worst in when you go front or back after half a round and get shot from front window....I hate those guys. | ||
