| [poll] 100 tick Servers? Or Combining Stats? | ||

Hey guys, I love most of the servers just like everyone here. But when the main Office server is full we get re-directed to another FT server. Most people don't seem to stick around even though the community would be exactly the same. I think that's because the stats are seperate from the servers. I know I always play on the 24/7 Office because I like keeping track of my stats and if I can't play there I usually don't play. My only two suggestions would be combining servers and possibly having a 100tic? I don't know the technology that goes into it but I know I perform a lot better on 100tic servers after I've used kremits guide. Or is there a way to combine stats? Aside from the Gungame server I think everyone would feel more inclined to play on other servers if they knew it was going towards the same stats. Or maybe I'm just a statswhore I dunno. Just trying to see if I can give some insight on this issue. What do you guys think? |

i dont know exactly what your saying, but youve made me think of this: having 2 psychostats: 1 for each of our servers, and one of all the servers combined. can this be done? |

My understanding is that Psychostats can aggregate stats for multiple servers but it is extremely ugly when it comes to session-type stats, like time on server, etc. We have HLstatsX for FTG, FT, and FTC here, which is designed to track player stats over multiple servers. As far as 100 tic goes... Valve has consistently raped (especially the Linux port of) SRCDS over the past several months. Unfortunately, FTPR can not run at 100 tic. FTC could run at 100 tic, and this is something I was thinking about trying again, but 66 has been very consistent so far. |

I like the server the way it is. 100 tic can be buggy sometimes, and I like the headshot rate where it is already lol. 100 tic means registering more shots...meaning more headshots. Which leads to more whining. So I think we should keep it how it is, I dont have a problem with this one at all. | ||

I agree with Night and Alex, 100 Tic is nice, but they bug out like mad. The only time I would recomend a 100 tic server for is for scrim servers, and even then, I'm talking CAL. 66 Tic is fine and reliable. With the combining stats stuff, I'm not to knowledgable with it all. But if you realy do care about your stats, why ruin them on a surf server where most of the time your score will be under even? |

Hmm I didn't know 100tic could be buggy, that explains why not to upgrade. But when I mean combine stats I wouldn't want to combine gun game or surf, just the standard CS servers. I know most probably won't agree with me, but then again most of the guys on the forums are usually more dedicated. I brought this up more or less ot see if we could get some critical thinking into why only FTC seems to have all the people. Because I have a lot of fun on the FT servers, I'd like to play on them all the time if I can help it. Edited Mon Oct 30 2006, 03:56AM |

Frankly I think the GG server requires more skill since you have to have a broad knowledge of all of the weapons and not just one. I think anyone who can make it on the GG server deserves an E-Badge
