Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Ok - so I'm new here and don't know if a thread exists for this or not. I still love to read Real Live Paper Books. Here are just a very few that I find interesting. If any of you whippersnappers still read share your ideas of a good read. Clive Cussler - everything he writes and can't wait for the next one to arrive!!! Especially his earlier Dirk Pitt books. Dean Koonts - keeps me interested Ben Bova - "Death Dream" science fiction Stephen Coonts - Fortunes of War Steven Callahan - Adrift - his story of being adrift at sea in a raft for 76 days alone! jack Kerouac - Visions of Cody and On the Road The entire Edgar Rice Burroughs "john Carter of Mars" series - one of my all time favorite SF books/series Anything by Robert Heinlein or Isaac Asimov (more SF) Khaled Hosseini - "Kite Runner" - a new book about a writer that returns to Afghanistan to find a childhood friend many years later during the Taliban rule (great book) Carl Hiaasen - All of his - sick twisted humor in a murder book Many more... If you want to debate merits of any book just post it. If not ... well you know what to do. |

I was going to check out "Kite Runner" to read for a project, maybe I'll read that next month. I was looking to see if people though it was good, and now I've got my evidence. This was a good idea for a thread, just need less immature people posting (Ahem..deo) |

Well i don't like to read! I think it sucks i also think that TV is much beater why? Because it only takes 2 hours to watch a movie and a mouth to read the fu*king book! But thats just what i think. But ask your self one thing can you close your eyes and read or eat and read at the same time? Unless you have 4 arms i would say no. Thats why don't like to read books oh and what if you don't know a word? Then what are you going to do? Skip it?

Well this kind of thread is not for everyone. If you don't enjoy reading that is fine. If you do post your fav books here or ask for recommendations.

Catcher is a great book - that is why it is required reading in many Lit classes. The primary character, Caulfield, is searching for something beyond the everyday existance and that makes it relevant to todays society. It is a fairly short read. try it - hope you like it. |
